So, for an Interpersonal Communication class I'm doing a book and project report on LGBT. Thinks like how people who are LGBT communicate in public, by themselves, with family, other LGBT people, etc. I have my book, and a project, but I was wondering. How do you all feel about it? Do you treat your friends differently sense you found out they are/do you treat them differently then before they knew? Do your friends treat you differently since they told you/you told them? How does your family feel? How do you communicate with other people? Ect. I mean, LGBT or not, I'd like real stories about your personal experience to use in my report.
My friends treat me the same, but I have to put up with other peoples stupidity a lot. I know a guy who doesn't like to hang out with gay people like its gonna rub off on him or something. I met a religious baptist who believed it was wrong for 2 gay people to be together. I know a few close friends that are good people but don't like the idea of 2 people pf the same sex being together. I mean I've never really been persecuted or anything like that because of it. When I was in middle school alot of the teachers and students there were kind of accepting of it because they have gay relatives. Or gay co-workers. 2 maybe 3 of my female coaches were gay.
My friends treat me the same were actually all are lgbt. one of my friends gets mad if you refer to her as a certain gender(which i just did shhhh dont tell her)Considers herself gender nuetral. None of us have the guts to tell someone the truth when they ask except the gender nuetral one. We dont go parading what we are most people dont even know.My twin sister found out when i was dating a girl she accepted it but she acts weird around me sometimes.
