Jason, don't be a coward. If she says no nothing is going to happen. It will be awkward for a couple of weeks, but after that It will be OK again. Don't make the same mistakes I did, go for it, ask her out, it is just a date anyways.
OH, I don't know how old you are, but don't ask the girl "Can I kiss you?" Unless it is in the most perfect timing. Find the moment where your eyes look into hers, and you have THAT feeling (you will know what I am talking about). :D
One more thing, stop finding 100 reasons not to take an action. If you are scared you will find 100 good reasons not to. But I ask you one thing: If it turns out great? What if you actually become her boyfriend?
