I'm sort of conflicted (4)

So, I'm in high school and I'm a senior. I have a boyfriend who I've been with since my sophomore year...and well, I know that I'm not gonna end up marrying this guy or anything like that. I love him, I do. I know its stupid and pretty naive to think I love a guy when I'm still young, but right now, in this point and time, I do. The problems are: 1) I might join the Marines, 2) We want to go to colleges that are on POLAR OPPOSITES of the U.S, 3) I don't know if I want to be with him after high school or if it's a good idea, since I haven't really experienced life just yet.
What should I do or think about when graduation arrives? Should I try to keep this relationship or just break it off by the time we finish school?

I'd say where you go from here shouldn't be left entirely to you. Now hear me out before playing the chauvinist card, but he needs to think about his future as much as you are. Of course I'm not saying that you should tell him all of this, if you did it'd probably come off a lot like a "It's not you, it's me" breakup speech. Just start talking about what you want to do after graduation more and more, and it should make sure that he's thinking about the same things. If it turns out that he feels the same way about things, and would like the freedom to explore your life after school a bit more, then it seems the decision has been made. If not, well then there's some thinking to do.

Worst comes to worst and you can't decide? Discuss an open relationship. It sounds pervy, but it essentially means that while you still have feelings for each other, you don't want to be bound to each other if an opportunity to be with someone else comes along.

I don't really know what to tell you man... but I've had friends who feel fucked up because they made their relationships control these decisions about school and life and such... Yeah, I agree with >>2 discuss the future and the possibilities of having an open relationship.

I know it's been awhile since I've wrote that post, but yeah, thank you for your guy's advice, I really appreciate it. I'm still conflicted but hearing good advice helps.
