Today in between 10:00-11:00pm my friend killed himself. He somehow got his hands on a gun, a riffle to be exact and shot himself. However I didn't know about this until after the police showed up. He never seemed to be depressed, His nephew, him, and I would always play video games whenever we were inside. We were all laughing and joking around the other day, but then... My friends are more important to me than anything else, including my own life. I'm happily sacerfice myself for them. So I'm all depressed about it and I'm worried how his family will react, he had one brother and he was technially an uncle. He was 17 and his nephew is eight, by the way his nephew's name is Alex (not his actual name, just what he likes to be called). Alex lives with his grandparents and Uncles because when he was one, his parents died. He barely knew them and he doesn't care since he sees his grandparents as his parents, and me as an older sister since I'm always helping him and hanging out at their house. I was adopted because my actual mom didn't want me and the only reason I'm adopted here is because these parents didn't believe they could have kids, but when they did have one they began to ignore me and my twin more and more... Thanks to this Alex, my seventeen year old friend, and I were/are like family... I just don't know anymore.
Basically, I'm going from to worried then to depressed then more depressed. I'm just confused right now... Any advice?

Unfortunetly I have been in a similar situation, unfortunetly more than once.... Self sacrifice is honorable and good, but bringing happiness to others, though a tougher route, means you need to be alive and suffer through it. Try to remind yourself that although you couldnt do anything, you cant change the past, you can honor them in your future. make it a bright one. Remember their love they had for you and share it with those who need it now.

He is in hell for killing himself there's nothing you can do about it.

OP, I don't know exactly where you're coming from,because nobody close to me has killed themselves, but I do sort of know where you're coming from. I've had people close to me try to kill themselves, though they didn't succeed which is good, and it tears me up inside to think about it. What can make someone hate their life that much?

I'm kind of agreeing with what >>2 said. Remember the love that they had for you and share it. Let others know that they are loved so that they won't deal with the same ending.

Oi, That's horrible. I'm sorry for your lost man. But any advice? I'm afriad I have none since I tried to take my life away at one point. And being honest here. Depression can be easy to hide if you know how to do it. Otherwise. I'm sure he was a cool dude and may he rest in peace, Not In hell Like the Idiot said in >>3
