I'm anorexic and I was wandering if anyone here was anorexic too because I was just wandering why they are (if it's too personal then don't say) and how bad it is for you guys out there.

Seeing your name and the mention of anorexia brings back bad memories, but I'm not anorexic, but I'm afraid if I look at myself, I might drive myself to that point because I'm pretty light for my size.

I'm not anorexic, nor do I have any eating disorder. My doctor thought I did for the longest time(I was very underweight growing up, just had a very fast metabolism) and wanted my mom to get me evaluated.

I don't have anorexia anymore. As strange as this sounds, I had it until about age 10. I just couldn't swallow food. My parents (NOTE: my father, and only my father) could shove it down my throat, but I'd just vomit it back up an hour later.
I didn't even try to make myself vomit it up, either - my body just did. It rejected at least 60% of the food I consumed.
I'm okay now, though (^.^) Good luck to evenryone out there suffering from anorexia! Remember, you'll always be beautiful!

I was never anorexic, but I did have some other self-image problems. I ate enough, but I didn't like my body at all... that until I realized that whatever I don't like about my body is going to be there anyway - and that the real reason I didn't like my body was because I was shy and had many social problems. Later when I developed some self-confidence I started to actually like my body. I think I'm pretty. I know I make it sound simple even though it really isn't, but try to think of it.

People who don't know what anorexia is - Anorexia - An eating disorder which is caused by food restriction and irrational fear of gaining weight (as wikipedia just said, dunno if the fear is true or not.) it involves excessive weight loss and can sometimes be fatal if the anorexic person is not given treatment (As in, they lose weight and they die.) (I'll rewrite this if I left something out or have it completely wrong, sorry.)

BTW: There are a fuck ton of anorexic girls at my school, it kind of freaks me out they won't even listen to the school board and their parents don't seem to be doing anything about it.

Don't worry, you didn't offend me but being (or rather used to) anorexic I can relate to other anorexics even though my case was very severe. To anyone who thinks anorexics are just a bunch of bitches (not thinking of your reply at all when I say this SaintSoul so sorry if there's a misunderstanding) who care too much about their looks it is SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT!!!!!

Just want to say if anyone anorexic is out there, just know I know what you've been through and so do others so that's why I made this thread.
