Okay, if there's already a thread like this, then please point me in the right direction and link it as a reply, but I'm pretty sure there's not one. I'm also not 100% sure if I should put this in here or Random, but I figured it'd fit better here.
If you could back in time and tell your past self one thing, how far back would you go, and what would you tell them?
I personally would say that I don't want to change the past because I'm happy the way things are now, but if I was forced to choose, I have two ideas.
1) I'd go back to September 2004 and tell myself, "No matter what happens, don't judge everyone based on one person's idiotic decision. Remember that there are always people out there that you can trust."
2) I'd go back to August 2009 and tell myself, "Don't give up. The world isn't as bad as it seems. You only fail in the future if you give up."
My reasoning behind this is kind of personal, but I remember two exact moments where I fucked up my life, and I wish someone had been there to say that to me. I feel that, as much as I love my life and who I am today, that would have improved my life a lot.

Mmmm....I would go back to August 2011 and tell myself that everything isn't gonna come out as you want it to. People won't know anything unless you tell them yourself. Everything has an outcome, and you should think before you do. Mine is also a personal reason and I suppose it has made me more aware of what I need to do NOW. The past is the past. Look forward now and move on :)

I wouldn't go back to any time. Because my experiences and my mistakes have made me who I am and I would be totally different other wise. I'd rather things just be the way they are. Idon't want to go back just to change one little thing and drastically change my entire present.

I would go back one year and tell myself go to community college for 2 years then go to UIC its not true what counselors say its the same and cheaper.

I would go back exactly three years, warn my younger self my father was going to die in 12 days and say this "No matter how bad it gets, there are still people out there who care and don't want to see you give up" because at the time, that was exactly what I needed to hear, no one said it, and it would make the present day much much better.

If Time Travel exists it would be risky. Yes you could go back and warn yourself or others of things but it would drastically change everything. If you warned yourself of something bad that was going to happen the future self who went back to warn them would be erased completely because they would no longer exist do to you changing your future self's personality. Or maybe I am just thinking to much?

I would go back in time to when I first met my girlfriend, which was July 23rd, 2010, and I would tell me: "Don't screw up the first kiss" Because, all thanks to me accidentally slipping, I bit her chin and cut her. She wasn't happy...Ouch.

I would go back to my freshman year of highschool and tell myself, "Don't take the algebra class! You already know everything they teach in that class. Take a more advanced course like geometry or even pre-calculus." Other than that, I have no regrets, and I would just travel through time to various points in (pre)history and the future.
