So I'm bi-sexual and i want to come out to me parents but i don't want to ruin my relationship with them because i don't know my parents politcal views. So i was wondering what i should do. Any advice?

Hey, I'm Bi also, the thing is I didn't tell my parents yet either, because I know my dad is homophobic(and on top of that he's bit asshole, since he drinks too much from time to time and treats me like sh*t), so if I tell him it will be after collage. One thing you can do is to ask your opinion to your parents on political and/or religious views, one good excuse to do that is saying that you heard a group of people talking about and you're not certain about that subject. You could also bring up the topic if you see the news together. Anyways if they truly love you, it doesn't matter what you are or what you might become they will still support you, either way people tend not to listen to teenagers if you are one, so don't bring it up if you're not 18+ because they might not believe it. Also search for the a channel on YouTube named WoodysGamertag, he's the one who gave one of his fans this advice, trough a series called Mail Monday, which also ended up helping me. Anyways good luck.

Wait until you're living on your own, then tell them. If you do it while living in their house, it can make life suck.

>>3 I agree, I know my life would totally suck more then what it does already if I told my parents.

Oh but >>1 not coming out to your parents doesn't mean you should also hold your relationships, if you find love do not be afraid to pursuit it!

Maybe you could like, subtly bring the topic up, and find out their views? If you have a good relationship with them, and you think they'd be supportive and helpful about the issue, then go for it. Otherwise, I'd agree with what >>3 said.

Are you USA? If so, the election is the perfect way about finding out their views. Ask which candidate they'll be voting for, and why. Ask them where they stand on healthcare, the economy, LGBT rights, and abortion. This method will prevent them from focusing strictly on the LGBT aspect, and questioning your sudden interest.

After the political conversation is over, you have their opinions and can think over whether or not you're comfortable telling them. Once you've made up your mind, just say it directly. Beating around the bush leads to nowhere.
