Ah, well, I'm not sure if I'd call it advice, but yeah, anyway. My bus buddy, wholl ill call S, is in love. She met her boyfriend on facebook, who ill call J. S met all his little friends through facebook, sharing stories and cheering each other on through their depression. S told me this has been going on for about 2-3 years, as i know quite well. S and J made plans to meet in real life one day. But after awhile they broke up. S hasnt heard from J since. She still kept in touch with his friends though. She is now dating one of them, B. Just today, this morning to be exact, she texted me saying that they were all fake. A girl, Z, made them all up. Her friend, D, finally told S what was going on. She was really sad when we were texting, saying shes been thinking of suicide more so now. And apperently, if werent for 'friends' cheering her up she wouldve killed herself two years ago. I honestly didnt know what to say to that, but try and figure out why in the world they messed with her for so long. Um, well, how can i help my bus buddy? I dont want her to kill herself over something like this.

On topic though because it would be mean to impersonate you without offering some form of help;

I suggest you be S's REAL friend. If there were fakes, then show her that you're not. A person can have hundreds of 'fake' friends but a single real one is worth so much more - so be real to her. Be her friend, do things with her, help show her the joys of life as her friend.

But shes been in love with someone who wasnt even real! I try to support her but she pushes me away if she thinks i misunderstand though. Then it gets all quiet and awkward on the busride home.

I find that sometimes it's best to be there anyway. Who cares if it's awkward? Stand next to her and help her be strong anyway. She thinks you don't understand? Agree with her but stand with her anyway.

That's not a reason to end your life. Tell your friend that. She must endure (if this can even cause any suffering to begin with) this if she even plans to make it somewhere in this life. Just make her understand that anyone can kill him/herself, but to live on no matter what is true bravery. Tell her to keep living, and at least try to look at life through better eyes. Make her feel that killing yourself is miserable. It is harsh, but it is the only way to help people like your friend.

Tell her that's why you never date anyone you haven't met. Jesus... I thought it was common sense but I guess not. Think before you do something stupid.

Here's my advise:
Tell her that (1) no matter who tries to bring her down you will be there to help her back up if she can't get up on her own because that's what a real friend does. (2) The people who faked those people are pathetic and she shouldn't even give them a second thought. (3) Even if one person betrays you, you shouldn't just give up because she has people who actually care about her like (give some examples just to cheer her up).
