It is a form of long distance relationship more times than not, but you've a likely bigger chance at a relationship lasting, and meeting up more, with a long distance relationship, if you've meet the person first.
I did online dating once. Only once. I wish I had never meet the girl. We talked a lot on the net, decided to meet up. All was good. We moved in together. Then she turned into a nutty bitch. You should go for people in your area. Best bet.
