This Girl... (5)

1 Name: Anonymous : 2012-07-12 15:11 ID:tguhNuzB [Del]

I love this girl in my school (I'm pretty sure it's love. I have never felt anything like this for any other girl). She's a year older than me and we're good friends. Last Christmas, I attempted to take our relationship up a level, and I confessed my feelings for her. She said she didn't feel the same way, and I've felt really lonely and depressed ever since. We're still friends, which I know is much better than some people get, but I can't stop loving her... I'm worried that I'm waiting for something that will never happen, but I can't seem to love anyone else... Any advice guys? Thank you.

She said she isn't interested, man. You might as well give up. I doubt her feelings will change for you. It's the sad, dark reality we live in. Just because we love someone doesn't mean they love us back.

Though sad as it may be, Haze is right. Though you probably do love her, remember that it is impossible that she is the only compatible person for you. Best of luck to you.

If you've never felt that way before, I take it you're relatively young? Leave the idea open that you could consider someone else and it'll eventually happen. Try not to be hung up on one person for too long. Loyalty is nice and all, but if there's no chance or if it seems unlikely, you don't have any obligation.

The girl said that she doesn't harbor the same feelings as yours. Best to move onward. As the old saying goes, "There are plenty of fishes in the sea."

People generally experience getting turn down by their figures of admiration, once, twice, or more, but were able to find refuge to be in a relationship with someone else. This answer may be unacceptable in your position, but it's how it is if you don't want to continue feeling like shit after a rejection.
