I love this girl in my school (I'm pretty sure it's love. I have never felt anything like this for any other girl). She's a year older than me and we're good friends. We're still friends, which I know is much better than some people get, but I can't stop loving her... She said she isn't interested, man. You might as well give up. I doubt her feelings will change for you. It's the sad, dark reality we live in. Just because we love someone doesn't mean they love us back.

If you've never felt that way before, I take it you're relatively young? Leave the idea open that you could consider someone else and it'll eventually happen. Try not to be hung up on one person for too long. Loyalty is nice and all, but if there's no chance or if it seems unlikely, you don't have any obligation.

People generally experience getting turn down by their figures of admiration, once, twice, or more, but were able to find refuge to be in a relationship with someone else.
