So I have to ask you all: Do you ever go back and read old chat logs on sites like Facebook and DeviantArt, or old text messages you have laying around in your phone? Personally, I do because I can experience a lot from them.

For example, right now I'm reading the Facebook chat log between me and a really good friend, starting from the very first message. It's interesting because I can picture the conversations verbatim in my head, as well as the emotions of when I was writing them. In many ways I am filled with a feeling of nostalgia, and by recalling those conversations it gives me a deeper emotional connection with that person. I dunno, it's like looking at it from another perspective gives me a deeper level of insight.

I was just wondering if it was that way for you guys, too.

I do also, it makes me refeel those very powerful emotions all over again, i think its amazing

One of the bonuses to text communication is our ability to relive conversations. Though, I suppose you could record a phone call or use a video of a conversation. I find the experience of reading my own text from the past to be quite interesting.

I save my texts and reread them later sometimes. The ones I save are usually a guy (or my bf) I like complimenting me and/ or asking me out. I usually delete the text if it's from my bf, and we break up. There's only one text that I saved currently, and it's my crush saying that I'm cute. I am eternally happy.
