A friend of mine seems to think his philosophy is the best and it makes perfect sense. he thinks and i qoute "setting goals will set you up for failure so not doing anything is good. eventually someone will notice my natural talent and pick me up. Until then all i have to do is sit. Psychologically speaking if you fail a goal your mind will stop trying and set you up for more failure" He is such an idiot for thinking this. He seems to think that not trying in school is a good thing too. he failed 5 classes last semester. I don't know how to help him because he just tells me "You just don't understand my philosophy" by the way he's 14
hey, if its his dumbass philosophy its his dumbass philosophy, and there is nothing you can do about it. he might end up coming to a new philosophy in high school anyway so just go on with yourself not doing what he is doing ^U^
As difficult as it is Ice has the right idea. Some people cannot see past themselves. They will never see who they are compared to others, they will never see the true them. They do not allow others to show them either. With people like that a lot of times it is better to let them go their own way. It will fail on him one day and he will crash and burn, but from a personal experience, it is better for you to be the friend to catch him when he falls and stand him back on his feet and show him the truth than to try to shine light on closed and blinded eyes.
