Poison Ivy remedies??? (6)

Ugahh... not sure this should be here, but I have poison ivy and it's fucking ANNOYING. Does anyone have any fast remedies for it? (don't say 'go to the doctor...done that before, and the crap they gave me doesn't do shit. -_-)

1. use aloe
2. don't scratch it

Well, there IS a plant that always grows next to poison ivy that can cure it, but I'm assume that you're not right where you go the poison ivy at the moment.

It pretty much always grows right near poison ivy. I'm not allergic to poison ivy, but I've used it on my friends, and it works really well. It's just a matter of finding and identifying it. Jewelweed is a purple impatient with yellow dots. Just mash up the leaves and rub them where you got the poison ivy, and it usually clears it up pretty fast.

I found some other remedies, too, here.
"A paste of baking soda and oatmeal can lessen the itch. Another useful herbal is the buckthorn plant. Also known as plantain, the leaves have a thick, green sap that supposedly soothes the itch for up to 24 hours."

By the way, according to that site, jewelweed is only found in North America. I don't know if that is a fact or not, buuuut yeah. Sorry, Euros :V
