I dont want to like someone (9)

So there's this guy (A) that I've had feelings for for nearly 5 years now. It's actually really irritating and I don't WANT to have feelings for him, but it's rather difficult to get rid of these feelings. Any advice as to how?

So far, doesn't help.
Also, I already have confessed the first year and he's already rejected me, and we're casual friends. It would be pointless to try confessing again seeing as how I am not his type.

Advice please; this is torture T_T

One of my friends had the same problem.
Pretty much, she was friendzoned, but I made her tell him everything she had pent up that she was ranting about to me, and how it made her feel guilty and sad and how she would think about him almost constantly.

Immediately after she got everything off her chest, she felt better and was able to get over him.

So my best advice is to ask him to just listen to you, and not to judge you or anything. That you need to get it off your chest. Pour all of your feelings into it. Thats what I told her to do, and it seemed to help. (and don't chicken out! I don't know how many times I had to re-motivate her to get back in the conversation and continue.)
It doesn't even have to be face to face I don't think, she did it via AIM.
She'd confessed to him a few times before, but until she told him everything, besides just that she was interested, she couldn't get him off her mind.

Hope I helped at least a little bit. Good luck!

the one area i can't help you on either. Kind of stuck....not the same situation, at least not that I know of. But hang in there. What Seika said could also help. Oh, and the conversation part, if you talk to him irl, set out the conversation rules:

1. no interrupting
2. no raised voices.

and anymore you can think of, these are a savior to people who hate talking to parents because of....well y'know.

I don't know what to say that won't be rude, based on how stupid this entire subject is.
If you don't want to like someone, don't like them. There is no magically formula that will instantly make you not like someone. Either it happens, or it doesn't, and it's based on you, not whatever someone else does or fucking says.

If you can't forget him, try to be closer friends. Eventually, he will either fall for you or you will eventually find out things about him that weren't what you thought and will get over him eventually.

Self-control. Don't look at him and just think to yourself, "No!". It will be pretty hard, but after a while you'll totally forget about him. When he pops in your mind, just try to think of something else to get him out. Again, it will be hard and will take a while, but if all else fails, then just live with it =/

Learn self-control and ignore it. Do it enough and the feelings will pass, no matter how much you think that you won't. There's almost always someone else.
