hello people so a guy asked out not that long ago and my friend also got asked out so i was wondering if this would be a good first date because i i got nervous there wouldn't be so many awkward moments and if its a good idea for a double date then what should we all do together?
Yes. Youll be able to learn more about them and have fun going on a "date," without having to deal with the awkward silences n trying to come up with conversation at random.

I agree with Sleep >>2, double dates are a great way to get to know the person, without the full awkwardness of a first date.

Go to the cinema, first dates are often awkward because the couple didn't know what to talk about. In the cinema, you'll be watching the same movie while rarely talking and when it's over, you could talk about that movie.
It's up to you if you want a double date or not. Yes, there wouldn't be so many awkward moments but don't you think that because you guys are still being shy with your couples that you'll talk more with your female friend than your boyfriend and so does he? Just saying.
