Hello dollars!

So... I'm going to go ahead and start this off like any other post in this section: There's this girl. She's beautiful, funny, shy, and very in to me. As I am to her. This is great right? We both like eachother. But here's the problem... I'm a girl. And while I go to a public school where almost every other girl is in a lesbian/bisexual relationship, she goes to a catholic private school. Her mother dislikes me and doesn't trust me, and she is very protective of her daughter's reputation although she does know that she is interested in me and also would like to come out a little more to her friends at her school. But she's been bullied all her life for being more girl-liking than the rest of the girls in her grade, so her self-confidence is low. I am happy to say that I help with that, I always make her smile and feel better about herself, and she's stated that she's more comfortable when I'm around. I call her 'Little Bird' because she's so tiny compared to the rest of the world, but all she wants to do is open up her mouth and sing. And when she does, she sings loudly and beautifully. I want her to sing, I really do. But with the conflicts of her mother, her self-confidence, the environment she's in... I worry for her. And I worry for us.

I get out of school the day before her school does. I get out on the 24th while she gets out on the 25th. My plan is to buy a rose, take my friend's car (he's allowing me to borrow it for the occasion) and drive to her school, leaving the rose in the car. With help from my other friend, I've figured out where she leaves the school ground and I plan to wait for her and when we meet, ask her out. She hasn't seen me in a very long time save FB because I've been grounded from poor grades. After that, I plan on having my first date with her, drive down town (I live in a small, quaint town, so it's safe and very romantic) where we'd walk around and just talk.

It's my first homosexual relationship. And I'm really nervous I'll mess it up. Can you help me form my plan? Any ideas? Any flaws that may occur and any way to fix those flaws? Help Dollars! She's my little bird.

Sounds nice. Who cares if her mother doesn't like the relationship? If you two love each other, ignore her. Besides the idea is a good one.

Awww.... This really is a romantic story! I wish you the best of luck! Well, here's my take. You deeply care about eachother, so that's what should matter. It may be best to wait until she's done with school to make anything too public. Sure go on your dates and stuff, but you may want to be discreet. And then, after she's finishes school, I would work on talking to her mother. Just be upfront and honest! Tell her how much you care about her, and that your intentions are good! And that no matter what you intend to be apart of her daughters life. Also, does her mother knows she's a lesbian? That might help smooth over the process. I know my plan is oh so very flawed, but throwing all your cards on the table is the only method I'm used to.

As a man who's seen and experienced the hardships you and this girl are undergoing, despite my love for women and not men, I say go for it. It's about time someone gets her out of the harsh conditions of her current life. You've clearly said it yourself, she needs you. Why not assist her in having a good life?

Unfortunately, plans have changed. Since I'm grounded (and have been since February for very poor grades), my mother is reluctant to allow me out to socialize at all, including with my little bird. However, I have very exciting news!

Tomorrow I plan to go to the library (I was able to talk my mother into giving me three hours of freedom) with my best friend, Meghan (she introduced us and also is my biggest brah) and my birdy.

Something that I may want to add in is that I'm an artist. I live and breath art. So, since Hannah always anxiously is looking at my sketchbook, I drew (with all my concentration) probably the best self portrait I've ever done of myself holding a sign reading "Will You Go Out With Me, Hannah Heighes?". While I am very proud of the drawing which I will be posting once I get home (babysitting right now...), I'm even more excited to see the look on my little bird's face when she is flipping through my sketchbook and finds on the last drawn page my self portrait asking her out.

This is the plan! And I think it's a little more ethical than the previous one seeing as I'd have to organize so many different rides to and from the destination. Now the only fault with this one is the awkward silence after haha. Wish me luck!! :)

I did it!! I asked her out today, and at first I was concerned cause she began crying, but then she clenched me in a hug and started laughing and smiling and blushing and it really warmed my heart. It's sadly not fb official because her mother still doesn't completely approve of the relationship yet and she doesn't want her to find out until she's able to tell her. But besides that, my birdy and I are now a coupl!! Thanks everyone for all the kind comments!! They meant a lot to me!! :)
