There's this guy I know, he's director of the one-act play I'm in. He cyberbullied me earlier this year because he didn't believe I was sick. He sent me a text saying the world would be better without me and I should die, a message my mom read. At the time, I loved him romantically, and he knew that.

Six months later, I'm getting similar feelings again, of love. He's not the jerk I remember (he never said the stuff to my face), but caring and back to himself. We're friends, in a way. But is this healthy? Should I stop being his friend? I needed a neutral party to help.

I shouldn't be answering this seeing as how I'm not a neutral party. I personally want to kick his ass, but I don't get to decide that. Go ahead and be friends, but the moment he does anything (I'm not saying he will, just that he might), I will hurt him.

It desn't sound like he's a quality kind of guy, so no. Don't even be friends with someone like that. And you more than likely just like him. You've got to build love, it doesn't come out of nowhere.

Alright, lets look at 2 realistic worst and best case scenarios.

Best: You fall in love, and continue on smoothly. Things get a little more complicated, and you can see where this is going.

Worst: This guy hasn't changed in the least, and breaks your heart, crushing any feeling you had for him.

Why am I pointing this out? Simply because I want to make sure you know an important fact in all relationships, one that is easily forgotten by many.
Are you prepared for the worst to happen, if it should?
Are you prepared for your heart to sink, in order to grasp at love?
Can you handle it if the worst should come to happen?

My point here is: prepare yourself. He might have changed, as people often do. HOWEVER, you should always keep in mind that he also could still be the same person.

My advice: Mentally prepare yourself for the worst, so that you can be better prepared should it happen. Always rely on your friends when you're in a dark spot, because friends are there to help you out of those dark holes we crawl into.

So when you're ready, decide if you want to take a leap.

Just because he's so nice now doesn't mean he won't do it again. What happened once can happen twice. What if he breaks you heart over again (he knew you liked him)? Someone who does that is a mean bully who somehow loves deluding people.
