I enjoy the fact that my some of my peers are homosexuals, but there are people out there who thinks homosexuality is wrong and therefore illegal.

Please my fellow Dollars, this is a spot where you can base your ideas on homosexuality with no hatred. If it comes to any consultation from the hatred gays get.... Please don't put them down. I enjoy gays because they are good people. Sure, they like the same gender that they are but I see past that.

Maybe that "love" they are experiencing to someone with the same sex is just like "love" as friends.They just can't open their heart and eyes for the opposite sex because of some reasons.

Before I start I wanted to say that I didn't want hurt anyone or to tell which is wrong and right =)
Some people thought being gay or lesbians are wrong because:
a. It is not normal for them. Everyday people saw couples as a pair of a boy and a girl. When we were still kids, we watched tv, read books, listened to musics, etc. about a love that can be only shared by boys to girls and girls to boys. It became implanted in their heads that this is right, others was wrong. It became their ideals. When they knew a person didn't think the same as they did, they thought it is wrong. It is weird. It is disgusting. They wanted to fix it no matter what to fit their ideals.
b. Religion values. Christians (I'm one too) believed that God had made Adam and Eve, man and woman, to complete each other. Not man and man or woman and woman.

This bible verse told that God want us to increase in number and to do that it requires a man and a woman.
c. other reasons I don't know about (personal issues, troubles, etc. involving gays and lesbians)
Some people thought are fine with because:
a. they knew that the person had awful experiences that lead them to liking their own gender (I read it in a newspaper once about a girl who's traumatized by boys and liked girls now instead)
b. the person can't help it, they cared too much about that person (best friends or something alike) and thought that feeling was love
c. (again) other reasons I don't know about
Personally, I don't think homophobic or being gay or lesbian is wrong. If they can't and or won't change themselves, it is fine.
Everyone wanted to feel love and to be loved back, and everyone had their own ways to achieve one.

People say homosexuality is wrong for a number of reasons.

Being gay is not normal because society has always been a boy and a girl! Society at one point also said a woman's place was in the fucking kitchen or watching the child. By that person's logic women having careers and wearing pants is abnormal. Then again, if they are homophobic there is a higher chance they are also sexist.

Gays need to die because god said this and that! God isn't real. Even if he was real, would he really hold such human traits? I mean...he is god after all. It seems like a superior being wouldn't be so trivial.

Honestly, those two arguments against homosexuality are cream of the crop silly and the reasons and arguments just get progressively sillier.

Im a lesbian and when my friends found out that i liked girls they made fun of me and bullied me. It sucks having to hide your sexual orientation from people. I couldnt hang out with my friends and the girl i loved and me wornt allowed to go to church we wornt allowed to do a lot of stuff with out being ridiculed by the people.

while I don't support gay rights, I am also against the treatment that they recieve... they're just choosing to be different so why should they be punsihed?... you humans can be so weird sometimes

"Since religion seems to be a key concept here, let me put in a brief word about religion. Yes, the bible says being gay is wrong. To use that as an excuse, you would have to follow strictly by the bible, or else your point is highly hypocritical and therefor void. I can say honestly that most of the people that use that lame excuse aren't ever christian. The ones that are christian don't follow purely by the bible.

To use the "Adam and Eve" vs "Adam and Adam" excuse also means you'd have to follow strictly by the bible. The bible says hat yo should forgive, love, and not judge. Yea, I'm christian and believe God will listen to out prayers, but the second part of that theory is it's own undoing. I've asked, "Why would God make them gay if it's wrong?" I was told, "It's a test." So tell me why he'd heal you if he's testing you? I don't understand ho he can be testing someone by making them gay, only to make them straight if they pray for forgiveness when he made them gay in the first place.

Since science is followed as readily as a religion by some, let me put in my opinion about science as well. You cannot say that it's wrong because they cannot have children. A study was done on overcrowding with lab rats. The scientist saw that the rats began to turn to homosexuality when there was overcrowding. I was not told much on the subject, so I looked it up.

I have yet to ever meet a gay person I didn't like. One of the best teachers I ever had is a homosexual. All the various gay people I met in my "travels" in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) were great folks, and they kicked my ass in swordfighting. Most importantly, if it weren't for a very gay man, named Andrew (also known as Queen Mother Majestic the 1st: Keeper of the Royal Verse), who was my father's best friend in the world, I would not exist at all, and neither would my brother. He introduced my parents to one another, and "Mother Andy" is the very man that I got my middle name of Andrew from. Unfortunately Mother Andy no longer walks among us. Cancer eventually claimed him, albiet the weakness following his treatment being the overall cause of his untimely end...
