Recently I found out a friend of mine has been on the verge of committing suicide. I've tried talking to him a lot to get him to reconsider, but he isn't listening. Even my other friends are unable to convince him to stay alive. He says he's really lonely and that his friends are now treating him like he's worthless along with his girlfriend that left him. That's all I know so far, since he won't tell me anything else.

It seems he's lost all faith within himself and I'm unable to reach him. I'm afraid that he will soon end his life. His cousin had already stopped him from attempting suicide once by telling his parents to rush over and stop him once. I don't know whether or not he'll try to attempt again, but I'm still worried.

Well, instead of talking them into continuing to live, talk them out of dying.
Basically, just tell them how pointless suicide is.
What do they think will happen after death?What do they expect to change? These kind of questions are important.
