Hey, i have exactly 2 weeks before my major exams happen so i need to use this holiday to study effectively except i get really distracted by- internet ==
I have so many subjects to study, i don't know where to begin first and to be honest, i give up really easily.
I've google 'how to study' etc but all the info they give me are kinda repetitive . So fellow dollars, flood me with your study tips!

I just do the notes, re-read notes if feeling confident, sleep method. I don't know much of any other way since my memory never fails me around testing times. Seeing that the internet is distracting you though you should try to avoid it for socializing purposes if you really want to nail high grades, and you're that worried.

Well, I'm not too sure as what I'm about to say has already been mentioned on what you've seen, but whatever.

The first thing that you would need to do is to consult your teacher about the specific topics or key areas of your exam. Ask for a checklist if they haven't already prepared one for you, or make one yourself. Also, ask about your current progress and the conditions of the exam.

Ensure that you do more than read over a page. If you can't remember something, write it down. Cue cards, summary sheets, they all help. Also, try recording yourself reading over your notes aloud and play that over when you have time. I've done that a couple of times when I've had to study for history tests and it works pretty well for me.

Highlight or colour-code your work so you can memorise important facts or points easily. A recent psychological study has shown that those who have used at least three different colours in their notes learn things faster than those who don't ....Or so I've heard from many of my teachers...

Make sure that you don't exert yourself too much when studying. Yes, cramming's all good and all that, but if you're doing it all last minute then you're basically doomed. A little bit done routinely is always a better method. In addition to this, get some sleep, because sleeping is important. Especially in an exam week, because you would need all the rest and relaxation you can get.

If you're having exams for things such as maths, practice. Do your exercises. If there is a way to grab some practice tests or exams, don't waste that chance. Practice, practice, practice. If you get something wrong, do it again. Also, try to time yourself on practice tests. This would give you a clear indication of the pace you're currently working at and if you can improve.

For which subject to start on, well, that all depends on you. A common strategy is to give more time to the things that you think that you're weakest at. But don't think of studying for exams as a one subject after the other thing. It's easier to forget things that way.

Hopefully those few points help you on your revision. Good luck on those exams, and work hard! :D

If there's something I really need to remember I write it on my hand then wash it off completely ... it works for some reason..

turn off your internet connection. Then go to a different room and just start studying. Works for me when I get distracted by the internets

I'm a crammer. I study the night (or, rarely, a day or two) before the exam. But for some reason I still get good grades. XD
Maybe it's because I listen well during lectures (kinda? I try hard not to sleep, LOL). During exams, I usually remember terms as they are explained by the professor (if they made a joke out of it or whatever). I don't think this is gonna help you now, but still...

Also, I always try to find something interesting in what I'm studying. If it's just not interesting to me, I just stuff whatever I can into my head. And hope that they're actually in the exam. XD

So... Try to associate stuff with things you're more familiar with?
Studying really depends on the person, but I hope this helps. :)

I don't study. I just naturally do good on tests :V How? Oh, yeah - PAYING ATTENTION IN CLASS. /coughdrawingdoesntcountasnotpayingattentioncough

I understand what the teacher says, I remember it, and then I put it down on the test. The only class I study for is History, but that's because I suck at history. I just read of my notes :O

Well...pay attention, like Barabi said. And perhaps study somewhere that has no distractions. Like in the kitchen or something. That always works for me.
