So there's this girl i've been madly in love with for the last year and a half. I met her in September of 2010. We had both just moved into the school district and ended up in the same homeroom class because of our last names starting with an "H". At first I didn't talk to her because she didn't look very good with the way she had her hair, her braces, and her acne, but about 2 weeks into school, I was so bored I started talking to her. We hit it off with similar interests. She showed me some of her drawings of anime characters which were quite good. I made her laugh, she made me laugh. A few days later, she let her hair down and it made me realise that she was truly beautiful, both inside and out. Thats when I fell for her completely. About 2 weeks later, I started seeing this other guy hanging around her quite often. Sitting on her desk and talking to her, etc. Everytime I saw it, it made my heart pound and I felt uneasy. One day I just snapped and wrote her a letter confessing my love. She wrote me back the next day and respectfully declined saying that she would, but that she's waiting for someone else who she's known far longer. So we agreed to be friends, but she never treated me the same after that. We only ever said Hi to each other.

Then, in December of 2010, right before Christmas, I handed her another note, asking again. This time, her reply was more hostile and 2 of her friends even wrote on it. It tore me apart. As the months passed I started to realize that in my letters I seemed fanatical, insane, clingy, stalkerish, etc. I came to hate how I acted. Now, I try to talk to her, but I can never hold a conversation because she always looks like she wants to leave or get away. She won't even accept a friend request on Facebook, but claims that we're friends. I can't stop thinking about her. I mean, she's perfect. She's the girl of my dreams. I feel like I actually have a purpose in life when i'm around her. I want to protect her. I want to be there for her. But she keeps trying to push me as far away as possible. For the last month, i've been thinking about apologizing for every thing I did a year ago. As much as my heart will let me. However, there's never any privacy for me to tell her and there's never any time.

I messed up real bad. It might take many years to find another like her. And I don't wanna let her go. I don't wanna sink back into the depression that she pulled me out of.

Ask her if she'd be willing to start all over. Let her know that you KNOW she's been treating you differently ever since.

If she denies that she was acting differently: She is shallow and not worth your time.

If she denies your request: She is shallow and not worth your time.

If she accepts: Don't be all lovey-clingy. Genuinely start over, going back to the basics of 'common interests' and general friendly activities. If she still treats you differently, then she is shallow and not worth your time.

Normally, I would tell you to move on, but this case seems really special, since it's an undying love cause. I agree with Reilyx's post. I'm wondering how hostile her friends are to you though.

Oh man. You got a nice anime situation goin' on. Mad props for that. Your best bet is probably what reilyx said. Keep your cool, and if she says no, give up. If she says yes... well, it's EXACTLY what reilyx said. Start over. Begin anew like a butterfly breaking out of it's cocoon. If not, may that cocoon burn in the fire of bitter rejection. Or, whatever you like to do when you get pissed.

>>2 I completely agree with this.

Then wait a few years, and out of nowhere... Naked confession.

>>6 Naked confessions always do the trick.

I guess its unanimous. reilyx's idea does sound the best. I'll hope for the best, but sadly I think she'll still treat me differently.

I think she hates me. She blocked me on Facebook after I commented on a friends post that she had commented on. I can't see her comments anymore, and she doesn't show up on his friends list. What would prompt her to do that? I didn't so anything.

I know how you feel just give her some distance make some female friends don't look at her I know it is hard but trust me maybe when she sees you happy with other women she will grow to like you

If it were me, I'd either apologize for everything regardless of privacy, or, since she's got a facebook, I'd message her over fb with an apology, and a request to start over. But the apology and stuff would have to be well-written, not only to show that you're not a complete idiot, but to show that you're completely serious as well.
Eh, and I'd also tell her that you think you messed up real bad too.

Dude just apologize to her in person, tell her your sorry for making her feel awkward around you and take it from there. But it looks like she really doesn't want to be with you so I say just stop going after her. You shouldn't waist your time going after somebody who wont return the same feelings toward you. Fuck it, you will find somebody better anyway; everyone one does. You say she saved you from your depression but that was over a year ago! Get over it, it's a new day for you and plenty has changed. You'll be alright man just go on with you life and with no regrets.
