Because I like seeing what the people on this board think about the kinds of things that happen in high school, I have yet another topic related to it.

This one pertains to prom, obviously. After all, it's starting to become prom season anyway. What do you think about it? Is it worth all the trouble that people go through to find a date? Does the event itself suck? Does it not?

I really think its a waste of money.

Personally I enjoyed my prom. Even though finding a date for it wasn't all that difficult. I asked my crush but she, in a sense, rejected me so I asked my childhood friend (my current girlfriend).

Anyway, I believe prom is what you make of it. It can be a great time if you actually try and enjoy yourself with whoever you are with and a crappy time id you don't even bother.

There are few people that I would spend the money on (tux, dinner, the dance, the after party, the after after party). Before asking a girl, I take a look at how long I've known them, whether or not I would like them to be my girlfriend, and whether or not they have proven worthy of the extra effort. I wouldn't ask a someone I didn't know anything about to prom, no matter how attractive.

Well... I'm going to my prom but my mother is intent on getting me a date for it. Even though there really is no one that I want to go with.

I got to go to my junior prom, but NOT my senior prom and/or homecoming dance(s). So, my advice, DO NOT PASS IT UP!!!

If need be, go alone or with a group of friends. Maybe with just one friend. Doesn't HAVE to be romantic you know. Just go and have fun with it!

Dude, it's all about after the prom. Just remember to put a helmet on your soldier if you know what I mean.
