If I was after a girl that was busy with another guy, I'd quietly wait for the rebound window. And in the meantime, I'd take mental notes about things so I don't fuck the opportunity up when the moment arises.

Well, as I can feel only half of your situation, and I have never had a crush who has been taken, I can't really relate too much, but there are a toooooon of guys out in the world, you should get over it really, not to be mean, but I mean it unless they break up. I actually wouldn't really care if my current crush was going out with someone, and I personally think that wanting someone to disappear sounds a bit selfish, but oh well.

You don't have to be happy for him, but you do got to move on. I wouldn't try and wait for the rebound window personally because what if the rebound doesn't come? Then you'll have wasted time and emotion into nothing. And if it does come, how do you know he'll love you back? Another thing about rebound is that even if you do manage to get him, will you have gotten him because he loves you? Or because he is emotionally confused (After getting dumped) or maybe it's because he's a player and just date girls for the fun of it (He dumps her, instantly goes out with you)
I would try to get over the person, move on. Even if it's tough, even if that person is gonna be on the back of your mind for a while. Just keep moving.

Hmm. There are two thing you can do. One is just stop wasting your time with someone who doesn't return the feeling you have for him (it's his loss anyway). Or you can continue to go after him. It's up to you to decide which is more worth it to you. If you do decide to go after him just be careful with it because he may not truly love you; and when you find this out it will hurt you. Look at him and consider his feeling as well. Besides im sure there's a better man for you out there who will love you and you will love him.
