I'm starting to worry that there's something wrong with me. I've been losing interest in things I used to love, I don't care about shows I used to watch, I don't want to be around friends or family and I even have trouble working up the energy to really care about stuff at times. Things I'd normally be raging about just don't seem to matter and the lives of those I love seem to be something I just can't be a part of.
Other times I just can't get enough, of everything. I bother people until they give me the attention I want, I work on personal projects for hours without noticing where the time goes and I have trouble sitting still. I'll go through random periods where I can't sleep then suddenly can't get enough. I'll sometimes want to eat and go through huge amounts of food without noticing and then for weeks I won't want to eat at all.
I can't tell if there's actually something wrong or if I'm just being a teenager. Help me?

Anu, that sounds like depression to me. Honestly. Loss of interest in things you used to care about, lack of emotion, and unusual sleeping and eating patterns are all trademark signs of depression. Since that's very common in teenagers, yeah, you're sort of just being a teenager. But this is still a serious issue, though I can't really offer much help beyond "diagnosis," as I'm in a very similar position~

If it's bothering your day to day dramatically tell your parents and have them set up an appointment with a doctor.

Sounds like it could be something hormonal.

Well, I am going to say something that won't be really helpful and that will sound like an unconcerned parent but... it's a phase. I was going through the same thing some months ago and now it's gone.
There's a small possibility that there's something to worry about, but from experience I would say it's just a phase.
