>>3Truly, no offence, but I couldn't quite grasp if this was sarcasm/ satirical or not,, either way, wars tear many countries apart;
so, as much as it sucks that both sides have innocents' lives be lost in the crossfire, whose fault is it that they're caught in the first place?
Like, why is there no ongoing aid to every corner of the earth?
I'd like to ramble a little, so thank you to anyone who does bother reading:
We who live in the West/ in more developed areas of the world are blessed and privileged with the abundance of knowledge and information, and of course it's seen as generally Good that we be aware of those less privileged than ourselves. But sometimes, as it's often noted with Rich people for instance, that when they do acknowledge their privilege, it just leaves those "inferior" to them with a bad taste in their mouths.
Almost like a: "hey why do you get to be so high and mighty, ethically above us all, AND rich??"
And so, I feel a similar way about wars and racism. It's not that they're not issues, but there's very little a barely getting by civilian like myself can do about it, and it's very likely that if the people in lesser developed countries were in our shoes, they'd just want to get on with their lives and enjoy what they have too.
Not that I'm saying we should all be ignorant, but sadly, politics are a finicky ordeal and there's almost no clear cut course of action Regular People should take.
I doubt I've articulated myself well enough to be understood but hopefully this sparks some kind of discussion :)
