A heads up for all of us
There is a new cult going around Discord called the "$ Cult." It's similar to the Blue Whale challenge but they will also threaten to leak your IP, doxx you, and leak your computer tokens. The users have kpop pfps to "disguise themselves" but they also have a $ in their username. If you are not a part of this cult but have a $ in your nick/username, please remove it now before you are mass banned in discord servers. The $ cult members will dm you with a LONG list of tasks to do and they will tell you to cut a $ or something related around your body. Although they threaten to doxx and leak your IP, they cannot do that until you click a link or an image.
Please DO NOT click any link from ANYONE you do not know. They will also send you gore videos to watch at 4 am. Do not watch, click, view ANYTHING they send you. Block them, close your dms, and close your friend requests in settings under privacy & safety.
If you can get their id, please send it to one of the discord staff team that you know.
Many other servers are raising red flags to raise awareness in order to stop this cult. Do your part and spread this message and keep others safe. DO NOT respond to unknowns in DMs - BLOCK THEM!

Unfortunately the blue whale challenge sparked many wannabes... it's not a question of falling for it or not. There are people that are desperate for something. They just want anyone or anything to help them feel something, feel part of something. I know this might not be easy to understand, but this kind of things make a person going on with depression, free to actually harm themselves.
Anyway, please track the account and try to get his account banned and investigated by the discord team
