The EU is going to vote soon whether to implement an uploadfilter that filters copyrighted pictures/phrases/music/etc.

Dangerous effects:

- The system is not perfect = A lot of things will be blocked eventhough they might not be protected by copyright (very good example: YouTube's Content ID System)

- Big companies like Google or Facebook can afford to install a system with which they can automatically filter content, but smaller websites can not, so they will be forced to either block all media that is sent from the EU, or block the countries on the website as a whole in order to legaly function.

- The system might be used to cencor unpopular opinions in the future.

- No more Memes, Fanart, Remixes, critique, journalism, quotes, and far more...

Seems like they really want to have a nice hard grip on the information network. These "censorship" and "biased internet connections" could mean that all heads of those countries had already made an agreement to try slowly removing the freedom of expression.

It's like how they do negotiations in general:

-Make someone who have the entire world's attention speak of a major issue.(Rump O'nald talking about fake news being rampant)
-Reveal a minor issue related to the major issue(Internet service providers don't provide honest internet connections)
-Drop a bombshell(International Copyright Infringement Laws)
-Make a compromise(They might propose to delay and stage a very long court meeting for formalities. Which will be full of scripted debates that'll eventually end up in favor of making the "Totally Unbiased" Copyright Infringement Laws)

So far Copyright Infringement Laws are pretty much filled with loopholes. Clearly even if it was passed the judges would just ultimately end up in this dialogue:

"Why are we even doing this? I'll just have the investigators conduct a couple surveys to ask which one is the original and have the case in favor of the original. Because we don't even f-ing know anything about the item that caused the conflict nor which one holds the actual ownership rights when the government blindly gives approvals left and right."

I don't understand how and why they want to implant such stupid and huge thing to bother everyone. When will we be able to appreciate things without feeling like we will lose the grab of it in few years because of big compagnies and headquarters who are full of old people who doesnt understand the culture of this generation and how youngsters are being more and more suffisent to be in contact even though we are miles away from each other.
