Manchester attack: 22 dead and 59 hurt in suicide bombing (18)

1 Name: Kaisuke !ymU.etZkik : 2017-05-23 07:59 ID:MXOLEqF8 [Del]

I woke up this morning turned the TV on and this was on the news,

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-40010124

"Twenty-two people, including an eight-year-old girl, have been killed and 59 injured in a suicide bombing at Manchester Arena, at the end of a concert by US singer Ariana Grande.

A man set off a homemade bomb in the foyer at 22:33 BST on Monday, in what Theresa May called a "sickening" act.

Armed police have arrested a 23-year-old man in Chorlton, south Manchester, in connection with the attack.

Saffie Rose Roussos, 8, was a pupil at Tarleton Primary School, in Lancashire.

Student Georgina Callandar, believed to have been 18, has also been named as among the dead.

She was studying health and social care at Runshaw College in Leyland, Lancashire."

I really hate those bastards, why can't they just go off them self's in a deep dark hole where no one cares.

Its such a tragic and depraved act. I can't believe what has transpired overnight. My thoughts go out to everyone affected by what happened last night, and I truly hope that all those who are still missing are found soon. I can't imagine what the survivors and their loved ones are going through right now.

In this darkest hour, though, we should think of the people of Manchester who reached out to help: people offered transport, temporary accommodation, and shelter for those caught in the attack. People donated blood and banded together to give aid to those in need, and it is these acts of kindness in the face of such a deplorable and destructive tragedy that remind us that there is hope, and that we must all stand together.

Its so sad to hear something like this happen, its sick that this guy targeted kids and young teens, that's the reason he chose to do it at the concert. So many things have been going on lately, i never expected this to happen at an Arianna Grande concert. I heard about it yesterday at 8:00pm, I never thought it would have been a terrorist attack.

Or at least thats what people are saying it is

I know it’s not a matter to laugh at but Donald Trump’s response to the attack was just… why?

World leaders have expressed solidarity with the UK, including US President Donald Trump, who called those behind the attack "evil losers" (BBC’s report on the attack)

Actually, that may be pretty clever.

It's in the line of telling would-be terrorists that they won't really hurt nor rock the Western Nations, but that they're just little brats who missed something.

They're not heroes, but puns.

Maybe, he also wants people not to highly consider terrorists like valuable foes. Because in the West, you're taught not to look down on your enemies, especially when you have difficulties to defeat them.

On the other hand, a loser is a loser, no matter what he does. No need to pay attention to his fate.

"Manchester attack: Three more arrests in bomber investigation"

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-40023488

"Three more men have been arrested as police continue to investigate whether Manchester Arena bomber Salman Abedi acted alone.

Abedi's 23-year-old brother has also been arrested.

Abedi killed 22 and injured 64 when he blew himself up outside an Ariana Grande concert on Monday night. An off-duty female police officer is among the dead, the BBC understands.

The UK terror threat level is now up to its highest level of "critical".

This means more attacks may be imminent.

Military personnel are being deployed to protect key sites.

The Palace of Westminster has been closed to the public following police advice, and will not re-open until further notice, a statement on its website said.

Home Secretary Amber Rudd said: "[Monday's attack] was more sophisticated than some of the attacks we've seen before, and it seems likely - possible - that he wasn't doing this on his own."

Can't anyone see that this reaction is what the the terrorists want? We do need to make sure that it won't happen again, but paranoia is at an all time high and it's limiting what we can do to an extent that it's taking rights from people. This is what they want and we're giving it to them.
Rant over
