Have any of you try this challenge and stop midway, or is it unstoppable once you start it ? the suicide challenge is at the 50th stage, so is there anyone who stopped at the 49th stage, and not doing the 50th ? and how is it can't be uninstalled ? let's say that they can hack our phone, but when we turned off our internet connection then, they shouldn't be able to hack it anymore and we can uninstall/delete it ?

The thing with some of these scam apps @SkySpacer is that they can modify software. That's why the only real safe way to download apps is from your phones designated app store which, I doubt these teens are taking heed of. Once your software is modified, depending on the parameters, it can make things undeletable.

Basically there's this journalist that decided to join a Blue Whale Group, so he could find what was that all about, and then he found those people that were there to help the suicidal ones.

The most relevant part starts at "Ao entrar no grupo, é preciso fazer uma “caça” aos curadores." Before this phrase is a general explanation of what the game is.

Brazil's government has actually set up a new challenge called the Pink Whale challenge to counteract the Blue Whale. The Pink Whale challenge encourages you to love life and appreciate family and friends. Side note:The last task in the Blue Whale Challenge is to commit suicide

Actualy been spotting this on Facebook lately, people there tend to explain what it is, and people also tell where and why it happens, in rogh and vague terms though.

They tell you it's something related to some app or website, they don't post names to ward people of, for some reason. While this of course is a serious problem, I'd wish people would take it more seriously.

It's nice that people bring attention to it, but it has hit the news, and if there is nothing new to tell, or an attempt to warn people about the root of the threat, instead people just point out the obvious, most at least, which kinda pisses me of. Getting the word out is well and all, until people drown in reposts, half-information and redundancy.

Just gonna point out that I actualy got it explained in detail here, actual usable info. It brightens my late night to see people going out of their way to put this out there in full detail, as if someone actualy put in the effort to be in the know.

Old news Levi. Old old news, the game has already spread to America, Canada, and some parts of South America. Not as drastic as in the west hemisphere but it is spreading. Any and all warnings are crucial.

Blue Whale spread all over Europe about two months ago. I sure hope the thing is gone by now, don't want more people to get killed this way. But I still don't get why people agree to play...

In my opinion a person who participates in something like this is simply stupid. Everyone has a brain to make use of. We are able to think rational and to ask ourselves whether we need weird tests of courage to get a thrill or not. Everyone has a certain responibility for themselves, so no one can blame it on something when they fail and say "It´s all the fault of this game". No. It´s the fault of the person participating in the game.
Blue whale is neither scary, nor horrible - it´s simply a way to show society how retarded we have become.
