USA and North Korea : Why are they at odds ? (19)

1 Name: Hiroki : 2017-04-14 09:11 ID:DfysjYKP [Del]

Hi !
In the news, they constantly speak about North Korea opposing the South, Japan, and the USA.

Why is this so ? The cold war came to an end almost 30 years ago, and this kind of fight looks nothing but disruptive and expensive. Even Germany and Europe now live in peace and almost in prosperity.

Which kind of interest does it serve ? Why are they fighting, and who's responsible for that ?

The conflict isn't so much about the cold war or anything like that. Everyone is worried and even slightly scared of North Korea because they have been developing and testing weapons. And when a country starts to do that, only trouble will come after.

In the event that North Korea does manage to perfect a weapon to their own liking, they would most likely attack the places close to them. South Korea and Japan. So that's why those two are worried and taking interest on what North Korea is doing.

But why does the USA care? If I'm honestly speaking, I do not truly know why the United States is trying to take action. From the news I have heard, it's to show support to their allies. I do know that there was once a treaty with the United States and North Korea about nuclear development, which has since been broken. It's probably to maintain domination.
The US has a reputation to keep, as they're investing billions and billions on war economy. If North Korea comes into the stage, it would upset the power balance a little bit.
Then again, it's also a good reason for US to start a war in the name of maintaining world peace.

As a person living on the planet known as Earth, I sincerely hope that last bit doesn't happen but somehow, there is a good chance it will. From what I know, we are driving North Korea into a little corner, and you know what happens when that happens. People start to fight, and that's when buttons start to be pushed and bombs start to go flying.

But you are probably right on the whole wanting to maintain and insert dominance. The United States has a long history of entering places and events where it simply is not needed. Saying it's because America as a country has an inferiority complex, is probably not that far off.

But seriously, let's hope the United States doesn't go to war with anyone during the next few years. I fear for everyone if that day comes any time soon.

Money makes the world go round and money makes missiles launch.

Honestly, that statement is extremely true.

The other day I was in my biomedical class and we happened to be talking about antibiotic immunity and why bacteria were growing immune to the things we use to treat them. The discussion lead to the use of antibiotic in farm animal's food. We then went into the fact that efforts had been made to stop the agriculture industry but had failed. And why? Because the industry had the money and the connections to keep things under their belt.

The term money makes the world go around has never been truer.

But the idea that America does need a war to boost its economy doesn't surprise me. History has proven that some of the worlds most impactful and meaning developments have been made during a time of war and conflict. Because it is then where there is a need and demand for certain supplies.

War is something that will most likely happen. If not during or after this Trump Presidency. I may say during as he's been in office for close to 100 days and so much conflict has already happened. It honestly feels like it's been years rather than a few months.

I think the USA is also against the form of government that North Korea has and doesn't want it to spread because it's similar to communism (I'm not sure but I think so)

That's the public opinion. We all know that the public are imbeciles spouting nonsense, and the ones who really decide things are the top bunch of the societal structure.

>>13 It's fairly unlikely to lead to WW3, that's overblowing it just a liitle bit,

If and when the USA dose attack North Korea, China is likely to do one of three things -
nothing,
help the US forces in the most minimalist way possible,
help the a US forces big way,

But my guess is China will do nothing an maybe roll in afterworlds.

Kaisuke. What makes you think China are going to get involved?
I mean if anyone is going to do something to stop America it would be Russia would it not?

16 Name: Kaisuke !ymU.etZkik : 2017-04-21 07:23 ID:qGqAjL+F [Del]

>>15 Russia would not get involved with North Korea as they would have to commit a large naval attack with some kind of sea landings, plus it's not be economical for Russia to go to war with another country, that is a fact.

Also Russia couldn't march troops and tank across land as they would have to go through a good part of China, unless they want to go to war with China.

I never said China would get involved, if you read what I said it's called speculation on things that may or may not happen,

The main reason why China is unlikely to get involved is because they don't want loads of North Korean refugees flooding into China,

Last but not least it's not that hard to see China moving in after all the fighting has been done to absorb North Korea as part of China.

You ever have that one guy in school who beat at, say, soccer or something once and then left you alone but you never forgot so you always tried to ruin their day or beat them?

And then one day they actually ask you why you always try so hard to beat them because they don't remember or just don't care?

Good.
Now replace "soccer" with "the Korean War" and "guy" with USA and "you" with North Korea.

Only worse.
Because North Korea went from a communist dictatorship that was fairly frightening to an outdated husk kept together with copious amounts of spit and WH40K levels of belief in their God emperor.
It would almost be a joke if it didn't kill so many people.

I would also like to point out that nobody takes them seriously at all.
Their missile tests repeatedly fail, their "Air Force" consists of MiGs that are questionable in terms of them actually functioning and what they do have functioning are mostly Bi Planes and some WW2 Era transport planes.

They can't even figure out how to put an anti bounce mechanism in their AK variant for JMBs sake.
Their standard camoflage is one step shy of a cartoon depiction of a soldier, their tactics are still based on us being our Korean War selves, and because of this and more they'll never be takes seriously.

Not unless they actually pull something like invading South Korea, a campaign that would be brutally short and not just because of deaths but the realization of the cofactors that the outside world has food, shelter, and freedom of speech.

I think it's mostly the nuclear tests on both sides, tensions probably won't settle for a while as there's USA troops posted on the border between North and South Korea.

Hey guys/ gals, remember when Korea was a place to respect that wasn't split between a man child and an influence peddler. Back in the day of Admiral Yi.
