I never post in news, but this caught my eye this morning and its extremely exciting.

NASA have discovered a system with seven new planets orbiting a ultra-cool star - three of which are within a habitable distance from its centre. the TRAPPIST-1 system lies only 40 light years away (close on terms of space!) and may contain planets with liquid water.

Wow, that’s pretty cool !
It would be great to find life there

now if only we can learn how to travel at the speed of light

Marx- ikr! Would be great to go on other planet.

Now we just have to figure out plasma propulsion, genetic modification, and if the planets have ozone layers, reasonable day cycles, etc. but the fact that the star is small. is good considering they will be the last stars around. And if its inhabited by a spiral race.

By "ultra cool star" would you mean a Red Dwarf? Cause if so, unfortunately most Earth sized planets within such stars habitable range would be tidally locked, permanently Broiling one half of the planet while freezing the other, there are supposed to be exceptions to that rule, so there still a chance for one Earth like world there though
