If I happen to see an Athena, I will keep you in mind but you should also probably respect his/her privacy. Like the others have said, they might be hiding for you or someone else for various reasons that we don't have the answer to.

Something extremely personal could have even happened to them and they just need a break.

If the two of you are actual friends I believe that you should give them the time they so desire and if they want to continue to be your friend, your paths will cross once again. I think you just need to be patient and on the lookout for them.

Anyway, I hope that you find your friend soon and I will keep my eye opened for anyone with the name Athena.
