http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3546458/Father-accidentally-killed-four-year-old-daughter-blamed-child-carelessly-recklessly-waving-gun-home.html

Father accidentally shoots one of his seven children in the back of the head while playing with gun indoors, with no safety. Then he immediately punches one of the other children nearby, wipes the blood off his hands on his clothes, and try to convince him that he killed his sister. He calls his wife to come home as quick as possible, he later runs out of the house. He turned himself in on Sunday and told police officers the truth. This happened on Saturday in Philadelphia.

This dad is a coward, even if it was accidental I find it stupid how he tried to blame his own child that he killed his sister, thats scarring. Just makes people who own guns or support having guns look bad. :(

This is truly a sad story and to think, it could have all been prevent if the crowd of a father, like a sane person, had kept the gun's safety on. But I believe that it takes a certain level of awareness to shoot someone in the back of the head but that is just me.

"playing with gun indoors"
Well, guns aren't made for playing, they are made to kill/disable people.

>>9 Very true, the parent, someone with a gun permit, should at the very least now that it isn't the smartest idea to be "playing" with a weapon indoor's, especially without the safety around his children.

This man should have never owned a gun in the first damn place! Obviously he has no respect for the gun or its capabilites. Guns are tools, powerful tools meant for defense and protection. Like any powerful tool, improper use can lead to death. YOU DO NOT PLAY WITH THEM.

>>11 But sadly to own a gun they don't check one's IQ or ask them questions such as, "Are you going to play around with this gun and possible kill someone?" Not everyone is as smart as we would like but since the guns become more accessible to people I believe cases like this one will be seen more often sadly

So, he has kids around the ages of 3-5 yrs old, and ur telling me that HE WAS PLAYING WITH A REAL GUN. (-_-) what the actual hell? What kind of father plays with with a REAL GUN???? especially around kids, who haven't yet understood the gravity of holding a gun, and the ramifications of shooting one...... that was one thing, and MAYBE it would've been kinda understandable if the kid shot the gun, BUT THE DAD DID IT???? wow, seriously, WOW. Well, not only have we lost one more life, but the life of the other sister is scarred, and it'll be quite difficult to remove it........

Even if the child has accidentally fired the gun, it would still be the father's fault for keeping the gun in reach of a child and for not having the safety on. It truly is ashamed that these children are going to be scared with this memories engraved in their mind. The trauma she received will probably never be removed but hopeful, if the father is ever allowed into society again, he is not allowed a gun permit. But one can only hope.
