Correlation is not causation. It's insane that people cannot get that through their minds. And the worst part is parents who believe in this are putting other kids at risk. Its asinine how a few random articles trumps years of research.

People believe what they want to believe.
Most psychology research are often omitted or misinterpreted for the sake of convenience. In fact, they don't even ask the researchers before drawing up some nonsensical conclusions. Just the way it is.

And do people have a thing against written articles or something? Everything is in video format now.

>>4 Correlation is definitely not causation, though I think it's a good indication that something MAY be going on. Even so, from a biological perspective, vaccines causing autism seems ridiculous.

I'm also pretty sure there is a correlation between humans existing and stupid people. Thus we should get rid of all the humans to get rid of all the stupid people. Though obviously thats an extreme version I guess.

Even so, we honestly truly don't know everything that goes on when we treat people with drugs etc, we go through rigorous tests to try ensure saftey, but I think we have a pretty good idea that vaccines don't cause autism.

The person who originally made the correlation report turned out to have fraudulated his data, and he lost his medical liscense. I'll try to link the article if I find it.

That's a good idea. No humans = peace.

On the topic of vaccination: most children who don't get vaccinated usually comes from low socioeconomic backgrounds. There's the big problem known as external validity (and internal validity, for that matter). Also I don't since these kids are usually clustered in particular groups, it's not random sampling.

There are lots of fraudulent papers to be honest. As such referencing and repeated experiments by different groups is so stringently needed in research papers. Making up results is quite easy I'd say, but getting away with it, I don't think so. If you've studided a bit in ethics in relation to science you've probably heard of the Wakefield paper that claims exactly this, link between vaccines and Autism. You can just google "Wakefield paper" to find out about it.
