Chinese nanny in France is sent to 20 years in prison for killing her employers.
Chinese nanny had admitted killing and dismembering parents of baby who died in her care but claimed it was in self-defense.

Now why do child rapists get 200 years in prison but butchers get only 20 years?
I don't get the laws.

It's China. On the subject of rape, rapists can apparently get away with it through legal loopholes. Marital rape is legal. Same-gender rape was only just made illegal and child rapists can escape justice through loopholes.

An example in 2011 between two men, the rapist was only convicted of "intentional injury" instead of rape.

Xinhua (the Chinese CNN of sorts) reported that the laws were amended as of November 2015 to persecute same-gender rapists as well as considering sex with underage prostitutes as rape with a possibility of a death sentence.

Meanwhile in America, mass murder in homicide varies from state to state. The sentence ranges from over 10-100 years to life imprisonment without parole all the way to a death sentence. The same thing goes for rape. It varies from state to state but raping a child under 12 is usually life imprisonment.

Oh derp, I skimmed too fast and didn't realize it happened in France. Oops. That's what I get for doing that at work.
