Recently, scientists have found a planet similar to Earth. It circles around a red dwarf star called Kepler-438. This planet, Kepler-438b, was estimated to have a 70% chance of being a rocky planet similar to ours. But the discovery of its lack of a magnetic field has rendered it completely radioactive. Kepler-438b's atmosphere was stripped away by its sun's coronal mass ejections. No air, no atmosphere, just heat. Despite this depressing discovery, we believe there is another earth-like planet in the galactic neighborhood. Hope is still there.
