The Trans-Pacific Partnership is from what i understand, international trade laws (in a vague sense.)
This affects everyone here, since you're all here because anime (more specifically Durarara!!!)
Recently they tried to strengthen copyright laws which could harm everyone here in that anime would be much harder, and possibly illegal, to view.

I'm a strong advocate of copyrights and protecting content creators, but there is a fine line that these countries are crossing. It would be economic suicide to implement that in a place with as much export as Japan. Hopefully they come to their senses and step back from it.

It's not just the anime community being affected, it pretty much will impact any community/individual who participates in fanworks of any sort...(eg fanfiction, remixers, etc)
