Hi. I'm new here. I think this is the right place to post this.
Not to be a downer, but...
This also means that the typically conservative states, like Texas, were forced into accepting marriage equality.
Marriage equality is great, but I'm worried about anti-LGBT abuse rising in the South and any other rural areas in the USA.
I've seen a lot of advice on how to stay safe if you're LGBT+ and in public, like taking off your rainbow pride accessories when you're in rural areas, having 911 on speed-dial just in case someone is following you, etc.
I'm concerned for safety. Does anyone have advice or thoughts? Keep your eyes peeled for anti-LGBT sentiments, no matter how small.
If this is the wrong place to post, please let me know. I'm learning the ropes.
