First Details of Nintendo's Next System, the 'NX' Nintendo's next generation games system is codenamed NX, the company's chief executive Satoru Iwata has revealed.

Iwata said that the hardware project represents a "brand-new concept", but didn't elaborate further. The announcement came moments after Nintendo revealed plans to bring its household games and IP to mobiles and smartphones. Speaking at a press conference held on Tuesday, Iwata explained: "As proof that Nintendo maintains strong enthusiasm for the dedicated game system business, let me confirm that Nintendo is currently developing a dedicated game platform with a brand-new concept under the development codename 'NX'. It is too early to elaborate on the details of this project, but we hope to share more information with you next year."

Nintendo has secretly been working with AstraZeneca a Pharmaceutical company in London that is currently doing research on brain waves and mind wave synchronization between the mind and electronic devices. Another company that remains unknown is working on a prototype for a helmet that induces artificial sleep using brain wave synchronization. The unknown company is working directly with the
Pharmaceutical company and through them is working with Nintendo. Nintendo has taken great lengths to keep the Nintendo NX project details as top secret as possible from the public and opposing gaming companies like Sony and Microsoft.

Now what does all this mean? I know a guy who is on the inside at Nintendo and knows a lot of classified information, he told me that what Nintendo is planning to do is to create a global virtual world where in the eyes of the gamer is as real as you can get! The first half of what you say is correct. It's the second half that I have some skepticism. From what I read, your source for this is someone inside NoA. However, unless this person is a high ranked staff in NoA, then there is no one who would know about this outside of Nintendo's Japan HQ. That being said, I'm not ruling out the possibility of a potential Nintendo VR project given their previous adventures with AR, however unless you have definite proof of some sort of Nintendo - AstraZeneca partnership, then what you're saying is mostly rumors that hold no value.
