Doesn't this make you mad? I am 17 myself, started college half a year ago. I can't imagine myself being forced to marry a man like him..It is disgusting. Not because he is old, but because she is being forced. I just wish I could go and kidnap her or get rid of him somehow. Am I the only one who thinks this? I don't know, I might be wrong. I know this happens everyday, but I just wish I could do something about it.

Oh, and by the way, it has nothing to do with Islam. It is the disgusting man himself. Apparently he threatened her or her family if she doesn't marry him. I have a friend who is Muslim, I know that this is not allowed...

>>2 Apparently he threatened her or her family if she doesn't marry him.

Duuude give an actual summary. Copy/Paste!

Also, putting the url in the title makes it hard for tablet and phone users to select it.

The incident has raised legal and ethical issues in Russia and its republic Chechnya.

Luiza Goilabiyeva, called Kheda, 17, was married on Saturday to Chechen police officer Nazhud Guchigov, who was originally reported to be 57 (though he says he is 46), is already married, and has children who are older than his new bride.

The Russian investigative paper Novaya Gazeta reported that Goilabiyeva was being forced to marry a local official. He reportedly threatened her parents, demanding that he marry her on the day of her 17th birthday, May 1, and even warned that he would kidnap Goilabiyeva.

"He is married and has children. She's younger than his children. The Chechen woman is powerless; she can expect help from nowhere," one of Goilabiyeva's girlfriends posted, according to The Daily Beast. "Kheda told him that she has a boyfriend, but it was disregarded. They say that her boyfriend was beaten half to death."

>>6 This isnt about someone's culture!Actually read the friggin article, will you?? Her family was threatened, her boyfriend was nearly beaten to death, and her pleas against the marriage were ignored. Now her Honeymoon and the rest of her life will be filled with marital rape and broken dreams, while politicians and the press in the country claim this is a happy and consensual marriage.
This isn't "culture", this is putting a gun to someone's human rights and telling them to either get married to a sleaze ball in a country where a polygamous marriage is AGAINST THE LAW, or he will kill everyone you love.

Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that!? This man is already married with children and resides in a country where you cannot have more than one wife. But because he has buddies in politics, the entire government is willing to look the other way and call this a legal marriage.

So yeah, you can take that statement of yours and shove it up your ass.

>>25 I'm not the one who vaguely suggested to "make this biggest dollar mission yet and motivate entire group to make this big and get attention throu the internet".
Moral of the story, if you have an idea, back it up with at least an outline of a plan and a set goal in mind, and then some members might follow you. Maybe if we had more people, and maybe if our members were older, then simply throwing something out would create a snowball effect, but that isn't the case for this site.

Ideas I've been constructing to feed the poor with an open garden in starving nations, or combine an affluent hotel and an orphanage, with a gift shop that funds buy them new clothes and school supplies are things I've been planning out for over a year. I've been doing this because I could never just present an idea without the construction of a plan and possible contingencies. From there, people can add on to your idea until you've amassed enough information to make it a reality.

ok, so haw about this:
Just like i have mentioned before we are kind of a big group, There are certainly members with accaunts on site like 9GAG, kwejk, tumblr, and so on. At least what we could do is post the same article you have posted here, on one of these site. Simply advertise it. Becouse where we cant do anything, someone surely can. Its not much but even if it helps like 1% to move this thing of the ground, then we succeded.
For example if everyone posted this on their facebook account or twitter, there is a chance that someone influential might see it, and react.

Good. Now keep this here, but copy/paste also to the signal boost thread or the help in numbers thread. You had errors, and I tried correcting them:

I'd like to introduce you to Luiza Goilabiyeva. She is 17 years old and forced to marry a 57 year old. Before you say, "yeah, so what? This is done in many cultures" I want to correct you. Luiza's family was threatened, her boyfriend was nearly beaten to death, and her pleas against the marriage were ignored.

Oh, and did I forget to also mention that this man is already married with children and resides in a country where polygamous marriages are illegal? However, because he has buddies in politics, the entire government is willing to look the other way and call this a legal marriage.
The Dollars is admittedly not a large organization, but there are certainly members here with accounts on 9GAG, twitter, tumblr, and so on. What we need to do is post the same article we have posted on our News board (Here) on one of your other accounts.

Simply advertise it.

If we can't do anything, someone surely can. It's not much but even if it helps like 1% to move this thing off the ground, then we succeeded.
For example if everyone posted this on their facebook account or twitter, there is a chance that someone influential might see it, and react.
The Chinese government tried desperately to smother the Umbrella Revolution in Hong Kong, but they only succeeded in making it loud enough to be heard all over the world.
If you want a mission, here it is.
Shove this into people's faces so they can't forget.
Remember, what this man has done is blatantly illegal; with enough voices acknowledging this, he will be forced to answer for his actions and suffer the consequences."
