LOS ANGELES (AP) — In the nearly 15 years since Sarah Key-Marer got the chilling news that her 4-year-old daughter had plunged to her death from a sea cliff, the mother has waited for the girl's father to take responsibility. HE NEVER DID.

Brown, a former airline baggage handler, hurled the girl to her death from a 120-foot cliff in November 2000 because he never wanted the child and was locked in a bitter dispute with her mother over child support and custody, a prosecutor said.

Brown told police the girl tripped and fell as she ran toward the cliff's edge at Inspiration Point in Rancho Palos Verdes. However, prosecution experts said the girl's injuries were not consistent with an accidental fall because she couldn't have run fast enough to clear part of the cliff before either striking an outcropping or hitting the beach below.

At court hearing the juries deadlocked, not once, but twice. It was this past Wednesday, almost 15 YEARS LATER that the jury finally unanimously convicted Cameron Brown of first-degree murder in the death of his daughter Lauren Sarene Key.

How cold blooded do you need to be...to throw a four-year old...as hard as you can (because remember she cleared all obstacles on the way down to the beach), and it's your own child?

Seriously?

This angers me. A lot, and I don't get mad easily. I have a soft spot for children, and this is...appalling. Say I'm wrong, but I can say I wish death on this man. Now, I won't say torture because I know how far that category extends to, but something terrible enough to where it brings him to his senses. You wanted to avoid child support, and your ground breaking conclusion is to toss your child off a cliff. You sir, don't deserve to utter a word of defense.

I just really hope that her last moments weren't spent trying to ask this man as to why he's doing that. Or wasn't screaming on the way down. That just horrifies me. I hope he knocked her out or something.

That is just absolutely horrid, completely unforgivable. And he says it was an accident? really? That is such utter bullcrap. I agree with >>4, this guy should get the chair or something.

And to think, she would have been older than me if this hadn't happened, it's an odd yet sorrowful thought...

And then people look wrong at me when I say parents aren't educated enough to raise their children right...I mean what makes you do something like that? Seriously. It makes me really sad when I think about that this could have been prevented...Justice served or not served, there goes another life thanks to human stupidity....

Why must parents bring children like me and my 3+ half brothers into this world we never asked to be in this world all my real mother wanted was the money she would get off of us. It hurts a lot when you want to be loved but can't be loved by your own mother
