So Sunday, 5/17/15, a deadly shootout occurred at a Twin Peaks Restaurant in Waco, Texas (I live just down the highway from this town), many of you might know of this place because of the Branch Davidians. The shooting, which left nine people dead and eighteen people injured (unknown if those people are bystanders or gang members), is thought to have happened due to rival biker gangs (at least three according to some media outlets) starting a brawl which lead to chains being used and eventually guns. Right now the police are holding some of the gang members in custody at a nearby building in Downtown Waco (unknown if they have been released yet, but they will be after a couple of hours). Another interesting part is that various gang members have been posting on social media that retaliation forces are being sent to Waco, what they will do there has yet to be said but we know it's not anything good.

Rumored: It's been stated on the comment section of various websites that the gangs involved are the Bandidos, Possibly the Cossacks, and Possibly the Scimitars. We know for certain that the Bandidos are there because of their recognizable vests.
I'll keep tabs on the situation and keep posting on this thread with new info.

Pretty much saying that the PD told Twin Peaks that they need to cease their 'Biker Nights' due to escalating incidents that have happened and eventually resulted in this shoot out. Twin Peaks refused to comply which resulted in the Police having officers in the restaurant when the incident occurred.

UPDATE:
The Gang confrontation was between five gangs, no officers were injured nor bystanders. The deceased were all gang members.
It is believed that Waco PD has at most 200 gang members in custody.

So much for all that PR trying to make bikers look all friendly.

I didn't know biker gangs still committed gang violence...
Was this just an extremely rare occasion, or does gang violence caused by minorities just have the majority of the media's attention?

I'm pretty sure this was an isolated incident, however some of the bikers are being charged with organized crime. So they may be more covert about their activities than some minority gangs. I'm Positive that after this police are going to be more vigilant regarding biker gangs.

Hell, I wasn't aware biker gangs were even a thing still.

In retrospect, I may have seen some before and just not noticed it - (I live in the DFW metroplex about two hours north of Waco). Probably three or four times over the last couple years, either on 35, 45, or 287, I've seen clusters of bikers. They never looked violent and didn't disrupt traffic, so I assumed they were just a group of friends traveling by motorcycle, but hey, who knows?

Glad to hear none of the deceased were non-gang members.

Gangs are dumb.

According to reports, the gangs were actually meeting at that location to talk it out,"settle their differences". They're confirmed 9 dead, all gang members. Arrest count is at one hundred seventy.🙈

Right now the charge for all nine deaths is Capital, which in Texas is death or life in prison, it is uncertain if any one suspect is or will be charged. We are notoriously strict with these types of occurrences, however I'm unsure of how the police will handle the sentencing and charging regarding the deaths.

And now there's a rumor going around that Waco PD has been receiving threatening phone calls regarding the incident.
Also, it has been reported that Twin Peaks has had it's alcohol license revoked and it's franchise license revoked. The restaurant will remain closed until further notice.

Those rumors are sounding true about now if you ask me.. I heard that one or more sides involved plan to "invade" the town with more numbers.

I wonder how that restaurant's pie is...

This sound like a trap to me. Why the heck would someone post their strategies on social media? Probably to provoke or lure ppl to their traps

A little update: Twin Peaks will be permanently closed and biker nights will be no more. Do with that what you will, as for Waco and the surrounding areas, we are all very relieved.
Also, Twin Peaks is being sued by a restaurant that shares the same parking lot. How this will play out will be interesting...
