Alright, take a look at this. It happened on January 5th, so it was a little while ago.

Since I know a bunch of you are too lazy to go to the article, I'll sum it up for you. Carry on if you want to see it for yourself, because it's pretty interesting.

So basically it's really early morning, and a group of friends walks into a Waffle House.

From what I saw, one of them was piss drunk (Maybe more than one was?). He took of his shirt and began yelling racial slurs at the black man and hispanic dude hanging out at the counter, minding their own business.

Eventually one of the shirtless dude's friends tries to shake both their hands. The hispanic guy is all good with it, but the black man puts one hand over the other and refuses thanks to the other guy's very-much-rascist (-and-drunk) friend.

The guy who had been oh-so-understandably denied a handshake then punches the black man in the face. The black man, having a legally-bought and owned handgun, reveals it to the man who had just punched him, telling him to back off.

The shirtless guy, who had run outside, then bolts his ass back in, charging right at the dude with the gun. He pulls out his gun and shoots him three times.

The group of friends leaves and speeds their asses to the hospital. However, they crash their car and the shirtless guy is pronounced dead on-scene.

After the whole ordeal, the man with the gun sets his firearm on the table and calls 911, explaining what happened.

Apparently the guy who punched him told detectives that the black dude had reached for his gun the moment he attempted to shake his hand. The surveillance video, though, shows that was a blatant lie.

I have no idea if another Dollar covered this a while back, so if they did, someone should find it and tell me :P

Sigh... Not news.

Well... Is "news" but I've talked about this before. If it's over a month old... It's no longer considered "new".
If it's a developing story, like the CIA's torture report, you would just bump up the old thread.

But this is 4 months old... If you wish to discuss it with fellow Dollars, then you can always share in the random thought thread.

>>1 Don't worry OP, it was news for me. Worst case it gets buried with the rest of topics which are deemed "old".

I think that's pretty damn restrictive. I don't think this is reasonable. I never heard about it, like >>3, so it's news to me.

>>4 It is restrictive. Thats why I never said that they couldn't post this elsewhere. When I spoke worth Babs about the creation of her signal boosting thread, it seemed like things that couldn't fit here would be able to fit there instead.

Besides... Are you seriously saying that just because you haven't heard of, it should be considered news? Even if its over five months old, now?
