You couldn't make this shit up. WAKE UP, AMERICA!

President Barack Obama told Vice News in an interview released on Monday that it was "disturbing" that the chair of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works denied the existence of climate change.

Obama was referring to Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), who threw a snowball on the Senate floor earlier this month to help make his case that climate change isn't real. Even though Inhofe cited record low temperatures across the country as evidence that climate change was overplayed, the country has actually been experiencing a warmer than average winter.

"That's disturbing," Obama said when Vice's Shane Smith pointed out that the stunt would have been funny if it weren't for Inhofe's chairmanship.

Inhofe, who wrote the book The Greatest Hoax: How the Global Warming Conspiracy Threatens Your Future, has also cited Scripture as part of his argument for why climate change isn't real.

[Ugh. I forgot my name.]

Now, keep in mind, I am Christian...and I can't tell you how many times God has said not to bring the Bible into earthly politics.

Also, just a reminder, God promised never to flood the earth again; however, in Revelation, 1/3 of the world with be set on fire...

Sounds familiar!?!

DELETED - EDITED - REPOSTED

>>4 Sorry if this will sound insulting Magnolia, but are you fucking kidding me? Who cares about christians and god? There is a physical measurable LONG TERM (which Jim apparently didn't take into account) change going on in the earth's climate (including extreme weather, meaning it can get colder too), which is the clear consequence of the way we handle resources.
If there even Is a god out there, it doesn't change or state anything about the fact that there is climate change, that there's corporate interest in not trying to improve our way of handling resources and that the change will be deadly for our entire race in the long term. There is scientific evidence about not only that climate change exists but how the phenomena of greenhouse effect and the process of climate change works. The real question is, how we can prevent this process by understanding how it works and finding alternatives to certain actions we take currently which is propelling this process.

Climate change is happening and people find a way to accept this shit, cause something's written in a book, that can be interpreted that way, and thus it's fate, it will happen regardless? One can't just accept something like that, I mean the future of our human race depends on it. What incompetence! When the process reaches a level that the human body can't take, everyone will die. Christians, jews, muslims, pastafarians, atheists, nature doesn't give a fuck about what you believe in. Nature works based on cause and effect.

And just to be fair, and not let you misinterpret your holy scripture, climate change in the long term will bring an ice age more probably than burning heat in which the world will be set on fire. The world will turn into a popsicle, and we'll be the unfortunate almond topping frozen in the top layer.

>>6 Umm. I think you've misinterpreted me again.

Dude. Actually READ what somebody says. I was saying how God and Scripture should never be involved in politics. My original post was making fun of the guy who is denying global temperature rise of any kind. I KNOW there is a "physical, measurable, long term change going on in the earth's climate". I mean, seriously? That was whole point of this post: informing people how our American chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works doesn't believe in global warming.

From an essay I've done, I know that the increase in global temperature is effecting marsh habitats within China, as well as effecting groundwater supplies. The increase in heat is what I was equating to the scripture. Cool your tits.

And I wasn't saying we should "just accept it". This chairman has tried using scripture from the Bible as evidence that global warming couldn't possibly exist. I was showing the irony, by using scripture as a counter-argument.

IT kind of sounded like you were agreeing with this bible evidence thing you should be more careful how you word things,
for instance you cant hear sarcasm on the net so you have to specifically mention sarcasm

"You couldn't make this shit up. WAKE UP, AMERICA!"
"Now, keep in mind, I am Christian...and I can't tell you how many times God has said not to bring the Bible into earthly politics. "
I even italicized and made bold parts of the article...almost as if I was ridiculing the very thought of throwing a snow ball meaning that global warming doesn't exist..
Or the fact that Repubs still use Scripture as scientific fact, even though in the same Holy Book God it's mentioned that the world will be getting pretty hot in the future.

Now, if I remember correctly, Dai has told me before that English isn't his first language. >>9 What's your excuse?

People being all idiots as usual
Not knowing the stupidity out of their arses.
And most of all, blind to to truth and rather follow the lies. (Or forced to follow the lies)

>>7 >>8 Dammit you're right!
I've totally missed the part on the scripture. Mornings I guess lol. We are on the same opinion then.

>>10 Also, don't misunderstand, I could understand your words, my English isn't probably that bad, I just misinterpreted it, cause I kinda missed the part about the scripture. Sounds totally different after rereading. The snowball stunt sounded stupid enough to make me start writing probably...

>>12 Yep, and this shit is a good example for why I'm on the opinion that politicians are incompetent.

15 Name: Magnolia : 2015-03-19 19:50 ID:XvOMGAnd [Del]

It makes me question how politicians become politicians. John Oliver did a segment a couple of weeks ago about how American judges become judges. It was...disheartening to say the least.
I wanted to put a bullet in my brain to say the most.

Well they sure as hell don't become politicians by adding functional value to the quality of our lives, I mean those people who do, are good at solving problems...Inventors, scientists, artists.
But what are politicians good at? Lying? Shaping words?
Ever thought about asking one about a problem. Like "How would you feed the hungry?" How many politicians reply with a clear plan? That's my problem with them. They are incompetent at solving our problems for which they are elected in the first place.

This why the new generation who takes over the government needs to be more awards, so that this doesn't happen anymore. But sadly not many people of my generation really know what's going on around them 😓
