These people are so dead on the plane for saying that to their chant. What happen if black people see this to they can get beaten?

HIGHLAND PARK, Texas — We already know their faces and voices. Now we now their names.

The family of recent Highland Park High School graduate Levi Pettit released a statement on Tuesday confirming that he is in the racist video that's rocked the University of Oklahoma and beyond.

The recording shows a group of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity brothers singing a racist chant aboard a bus en route to a date party.

Here is the entire statement from Brody and Susan Pettit that was posted on a website called FriendsAndFamilyOfLeviPettit.com:

As parents of Levi, we love him and care for him deeply. He made a horrible mistake, and will live with the consequences forever. However, we also know the depth of our son's character. He is a good boy, but what we saw in those videos is disgusting. While it may be difficult for those who only know Levi from the video to understand, we know his heart, and he is not a racist. We raised him to be loving and inclusive and we all remain surrounded by a diverse, close-knit group of friends.

We were as shocked and saddened by this news as anyone. Of course, we are sad for our son – but more importantly, we apologize to the community he has hurt. We would also like to apologize to the – entire African American community, University of Oklahoma student body and administration. Our family has the responsibility to apologize, and also to seek forgiveness and reconciliation. Our words will only go so far – as a family, we commit to following our words with deeds.

To our friends and family, thank you for your kind comments and prayers. They are very comforting in this difficult time.

We ask that the media and public please respect our family's privacy as we come together to heal and determine next steps.

The family has help handling the mess. They've enlisted crisis strategist Bill Coletti, whose biography indicates that he has worked with companies like Target and The Home Depot.

A Google search of Levi Pettit shows he was a member of the Highland Park High School golf team, although Highland Park ISD boys athletic coordinator Randy Allen told News 8 he didn't know anything about a former student's involvement in that fraternity video.

"It cried out for action," OU President David Boren in response to the fraternity video.

Tuesday, at a Board of Regents meeting in Norman, Boren would not confirm if Levi Pettit or Parker Rice — the other student identified in the video — were the two students who were expelled because of the incident. Instead, he gave this piece of advice.

"I would think the best thing they could do is try to learn from this; learn the hard lessons from this; and hope they will then go on and pick up the rest of their lives," he said.

I still don't get it why racism is still prevalent in this modern times and especially in America considering that their present president is black and their beloved president Abraham Lincoln abolished the same. So sad to hear such harrowing story up until now.

>>4 Abe is remembered for preventing the split of the United States. It's like, everyone glosses over how he abolished slavery as well. Yes, the war was initially about keeping the states together, but the Southern states clearly addressed that they were seceding because of their "rights" to own slaves and do whatever they want with their slaves, was slowly being taken away.

Down South there are still people proudly waving the confederate flag. Fuckin idiots don't care that it's the same as seeing the Rising Sun flag in China or S. Korea.
Basically, whenever you see those flags, best to avoid that shop or home if you're black. Land of easy gun ownership after all. If you fire warning shots in the air in defense against an abusive spouse you get 20 years, but if you chase a teen down and kill him, you're never charged. The system needs fixing.

Oh my God, here it goes again:

University of Oklahoma President David Boren has expelled two students, members of SAE fraternity, for participating in a racist rant on a bus. The rant included the following:

There will never be a nigger at SAE
There will never be a nigger at SAE
You can hang him from a tree
But he'll never sign with me
There will never be a nigger at SAE

Needless to say, such language is abhorrent. But the University of Oklahoma cannot constitutionally expel the students for this expression.

The Supreme Court has made it quite clear that public universities cannot constitutionally discipline their students for speech merely because it offends the university's sense of decency.

These two students and the old granny Beauton Gilbow are about to get beaten by black people if they see this.

Abraham Lincoln did not abolish slavery he only "freed" slaves that were in "places of rebellion"

And i live in the South so I would like to confirm Magnolia's statement about people living in the southern portion of the U.S. Yes, many are blind idiots.

With the Emancipation Proclamation, the aim of the war changed to include the freeing of slaves in addition to preserving the Union. Although the Proclamation initially freed only the slaves in the rebellious states, by the end of the war the Proclamation had influenced and prepared citizens to advocate and accept abolition for all slaves in both the North and South. The 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery in the United States, was passed on December 6th, 1865.

They went into the bus singing that shitty, worthless song to the other people and got expelled. Those two Brody and Susan Pettit are tremendously dead. If they say the N word... FATALITY.

I have a feeling racism will never die and if it does die it will take many years

>>13 No; it'll never die. Sadly, even in monochrome areas like China, there's still hatred of the dark skinned Chinese by the lighter skinned ones.

Here's an excerpt from the chant they.. chanted.
"You can hang them from a tree,
But they'll never sign for me!
We will never let a N*r in SAE!"
How lovely.
>>13 Racism is a lovely method of controlling large masses of people, so it probably won't die out.

I hate it when people are racist, aren't we all the same thing? only differance is either our culture, color, and personality. other than that we are exactly the same. we have the same blood organs, and even the same earth!
i don't understand why people hate others just for their color!!

I wish I could believe that racism will disappear soon, but I doubt that will happen. Sadly, some people are raised into racism, and they couldn't avoid it if they tried. Even if they know it's wrong, everyone around them feeds them such racist ways of thinking every day, and soon enough they become just like them.
