I usually don't post weird stuff like this, but it's rare to here of a village for rent at such a cheap price! ;) Seriously, I've seen hotel rooms worth more than 700 euros (about $1K).

Tenants can also use the village cooperative’s six horses, two cows, three sheep, poultry house and four hectares of arable land. Only five of the village’s twenty houses are lived in around the year.

'Megyer was always poor, but it has kept its charming rustic atmosphere,' says Pajer, who lives and works mostly in Budapest but visits the village once a week.

'I hope the advertisement will bring Megyer some revenue, but more importantly some attention,' Pajer said."

Wow, this is cheap, even compared to hungarian standards... I've heard of this before, but never knew the price was so low.

Rent as many villages as possible till I own a small but significant portion of Hungary....invite others in give them a taste of luxury and power... encourage them to revolt and arm them..then leak some of their schemes and information and sit back and enjoy the show :) Who dare wins?

If I actually owned the place, I would consider building something there similar to the venus project. Maybe do research. Something that produces value to the quality of people's life. Though I would also love to make an animation studio one day, or a comicbook publisher. Well these are all just dreams.

What if you get a group of people to all each rent a village?
