I wasn't a big fan of RWBY, but even I can recognize that he was an amazing animator and person in general. The normally casual RT would go into complete respect-mode whenever they brought him up on the Podcast. All the stories that are coming up now about him before he moved to work there are heartbreaking as well.
They're never going to get someone that can match his OTT fight choreography as the heart of the series. I have no idea what they're going to do with RWBY at this point.

I were shocked when hearing this the first time, just the day before, I see some news about Monty hospitalized, although people donate a lot for him, over 100.000$ in 6 hours, I never thought that It became like this, Damn it.
I like RWBY, for it unique character, weapon design and action. Great job Monty, Rest In Peace...

Rest in peace, Monty. Monty was such a talent and now it's such a shame to pass at such a young age of 33! He still had so much to live for and with the success of RWBY his life would only get better. My thoughts go out to his family, his friends, and his fans.

I just heard about it on 9gag and then saw it on roosterteeth! As a big RWBY fan I really hope that they will continue the series, but I think it won't be the same without Monty (What will happen to Ren, whom he voiced?).

I was completely stunned when I read about this on the roosterteeth site. I'm trying to dedicate all my free time for at least a month to working on my own story-project in his memory.
