a man was killed by a tiger when he went to visit a zoo at delhi in india. the man wanted to see the white tiger from closer quarters, but he has crossed the "stand-off barrier" of the tiger's enclosure and fell into it. the tiger and the man were face to face and the tiger was staring him for about 15 minutes! the poor man was scared to death..and he was like begging for his life to the tiger. the tiger then attacked the man with it's paw and fell upon him holding his neck with it's mouth and killed him... then it took his body far away and chewed some parts of the victim's head. and whilst this horror was going on, people who gathered there did nothing..instead, they were filming the videos and capturing photos of the man getting eaten.the man was stuck to the wall as he scared of the giant tiger.. not even a single person tried to call for rescue to the zoo management...the just...let him die..
what do you guys think about this?! isn't is horrible?!
seeing him...tears just rolled down my cheeks...he would've lived a long life...he was just 20-22 years old...

I think most people aren't raised on those values anymore. I see that often. They don't get used to it as a child, so as an adult they don't know what to do, don't have the confidence or outright don't want to help. Even if it's only about calling a manager. It's sad actually.

>>2 Yeah, it's really sad, especially given the situation didn't really get bad for 15 minutes. That's easily enough time to get some help. Hell, you could even call 911, just do something.

They probably took pictures instead, though.

I wonder how'd his family react when they watch and see these videos and images...really sad...

Maybe that dumb fuck shouldn't have climbed on the fence, even after literally everyone there told him not to.

I think it's good he died; natural selection at it's finest.

>>5 Obviously, but no one did anything for a solid 15 minutes after the fact.

Who's the bigger idiot here?

7 Name: Kuroi-chan : 2014-09-24 13:13 ID:ucFwbBF7 [Del]

Yup and thats wat I was thinking...

15 min was more then enough for a some one to get there with a stun dart... I hate people who scream call for help, you have a bloody mobile phone in you, at the very least do that... Don't ask others to do what you can.

Those people needed to do what was right. You will probably see it on youtube now.

>>8 How exactly do you know he had a phone?

It's unreasonable to expect him to call someone when he was a foot from a tiger.

11 Name: Dragonhand : 2014-09-24 17:49 ID:XgPzO4ip [Del]

>>10 Not that. I was generalizing, saying I don't like when an accident occurs and all the people around scream "call for help" instead of picking the phone themselves. Last time I saw that happen I had to run to a girl and help her because her own friends were in panic... on of them was even a Nurse student. Pissed me off

12 Name: Inuhakka !SfInB4cAts : 2014-09-24 19:14 ID:7BgGa4qW [Del]

>>11 Ah, I misunderstood. I thought you meant he should have used a phone while he was in the pit.

Anyways, I agree. It's hard to say what I would do in an emergency like that, but I figure I'd act much like the rest of them.

Poor guy it's the bystander's faults. They should have done something. How selfish.

I think It's horrible that the people literally just stood by and video taped it. They could have called for help or distracted the tiger somehow. But seriously this is quite saddening to hear. I probably would have stayed shocked for a minute or two but then I would have called for help.

15 Name: Kuroi-chan : 2014-09-25 02:31 ID:ucFwbBF7 [Del]

Yeah...the video is on youtube. Its horrible...

16 Name: Kuroi-chan : 2014-09-25 02:40 ID:ucFwbBF7 [Del]

The people who gathered there tried to distract the tiger by throwing stones on it...and when some people were trying to distract it, other people must ve done something to call for rescue...foolish people with no unity...

See, he shouldn't have gone past the "Stand-off zone." People need to respect that tigers so have fangs and claws, and yet, you see this. Why would you stupidly pass the safety barriers set up to keep you safe? And then why would you provoke the tiger by throwing rocks at it? That's probably the same reason they couldn't shoot it, because if I was shot by a dart, and I suddenly started feeling sleepy, I'd be scared. Just like this tiger probably would have been. And you know what happens when wild animals get scared? They attack or run. A tiger probably would have attacked. While I think that the people watching were certainly no help, how do you know that officials weren't on the scene? The news article states that they were. It also states that the man could have jumped, on his own free will, into the pen. It also states that he could have been drunk. This is called natural selection, and the man took his own life in his hands when he passed the "Stand-off barrier."

uhh its horrible

>16, instead of distracting the tiger, it made it aggressive..

omg... what....this is absolutely terrible!!! D:
the children tried to get the attention of the tiger but.. it failed...
welcome to the real world.. :(

Well, first of all he shouldn't have crossed the stand off barrier. It would be pretty hard to miss something like a barrier made for keeping people at a safe distance. Him falling in was his own fault.

Yes people should have alerted someone for help, but did they? No. They probably meant to, but it goes a little something like this. I'm sure a few people probably went ahead and SAID that they were getting help, but when someone else also says they'll get help, odds are that people assume that someone else will call for help. In the end, no one calls for help, because they assume someone else will do it.

Also, you're saying that people just stood by and took pictures and videos for about 15 minutes? That's just how people are nowadays. Don't be so surprised. When something 'cool' or 'interesting' happens, people tend to take out their phones.

23 Name: KaAnrA : 2014-09-28 07:14 ID:ewlxsgKd [Del]

People love to record or take pictures of whatever takes them out of their boring and daily normal life. When you think about it, if more people were really trying to help others instead of taking out their phones, there would be less pictures and videos posted on the internet.

It's us that's the problem. When millions of military people die to save the world, couldn't we save someone. we just want attention and popularity. we don't really care if someone else dies. We care when someone close to us die, but when they're someone who we don't know no one cares

25 Name: Kasi : 2014-09-28 17:55 ID:ybXCdonX [Del]

That dumbass crossed the barriers which are there for his protection, therefore it's his own damn fault.

As for the people filming it, I'm sure it'll be on Worldstar hip hop by tomorrow

There still should have been some security or somebody to be able to take care of the situation, it should have been an immediate decision to act. People fall victim to just watching, not able to do anything about it. They carelessly watch from afar, afraid that something will happen to them instead of what happens to others.

There is a barrier for a reason. Most people have the mind so stay behind it. It wasn't the tigers fault to be honest. Many humans step into, claim, and destroy their habitat. You may want to consider that the tiger may have been in terrible conditions as well.

this what I hate about today's society so many people watch as some one is mugged, raped, or killed and do nothing but watch, film, or take pictures, some even ignore

33 Name: HAM !!GwEk0fN9 : 2014-10-06 21:41 ID:7PDkdrA5 [Del]

>>32 This has nothing to do with "today's society".

This does, however, have everything to do with a psychological phenomena labeled the "Bystander Effect", which has been apparent in mankind since ever.

34 Name: AsbestosX : 2014-10-07 23:48 ID:hdEM5vAq [Del]

>>33 and a deadly effect it is. It really is present everywhere. You would think someone would have thrown something at the tiger, or tried to catch its attention instead of just instinctively grabbing their iphones...

35 Name: Inuhakka !INb4cATsHE : 2014-10-08 15:03 ID:pGHbPP2c [Del]

>>34 They didn't think he would die. They've been conditioned to believe something like that "couldn't possibly happen". It's too unbelievable to them, so there is no sense of urgency.

Plus, they think someone else will do something, so they want to catch the whole thing.
