Ok so i saw this on the news, and i cannot believe people can be so careless and cruel! This woman survived breast cancer and her son is going to Afghanistan. She did not deserve this and i am praying for the family. The following is copied and pasted from the Fox 8 Cleveland site, and i do not own any of this:
UNION COUNTY, Pennsylvania — A Northeast Ohio woman is hospitalized after she was struck by a rock tossed from a bridge overpass.
Sharon Budd, 52, was in critical condition on Monday afternoon at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Her family has been at her bedside since the incident happened last Thursday. Budd, a mother of four, was riding in the vehicle on Interstate 80 in Central Pennsylvania while en route to New York City. According to Pennsylvania State Police, two teenage boys threw a rock from an overpass and it crashed through the windshield. The Budds’ teenage daughter, Kaylee, was driving and her husband was sitting in the back seat when the eight-inch boulder came out of nowhere. Budd has already had brain surgery and lost the use of one eye. Her husband spoke to FOX 8’s Mark Zinni and said another surgery is scheduled for Tuesday.
Unfortunately rock throwing from bridges isn't rare. On a freeway only about 50km away from me hometown you hear often of rock throwing(2 years ago the news warned like once a week, nowadays it isn't as often as then). You can speak of luck that nobody got hurt at this freeway. It's such a dangerous thing and I don't understand why you can do something like this.
