Ye'. They're right by me. Honestly, all the more reason to hate feminism.

Asking how this relates to feminism, hmm?
He would have been charged instead of her without the video proof.
Why? He's male and she's female.

That's not feminism but sexism. It's the police officer's own sexism if he's ready to believe her just because she's a woman. Feminism is the opposite of that whole mentality in that women should be treated the same way men are. You're mixing it up.

And any woman saying a man should automatically be to blame and hiding behind the wall of 'feminism' isn't a "feminist" but, rather, an "asshole" who'd, by any other name, still be an asshole. Just to clear that up ahead of time.

The modern feminist movement does have a tendency to 'over-correct' equality as far as I have seen, so there are some cases where women are treated better than men in the name of equality. However, in this case, it's the sexist idea of females being victims and men being aggressors. I don't think feminism has anything to do with this.

I am mentioning sexism because it was sexist for the officer to assume the woman was the victim in this situation. Whether it was a woman or man thinking that way or being thought of that way is irrelevant. Sexism is not just about women.

There is no reasonable expectation of privacy in a public place like a beach. She is not a hero.

>>19 Seriously, he was flying over what seemed to be mostly public property. If I were to skydive the parachute in or rent a helicopter to fly along and take pictures/ videos of the beach you would be fine wouldn't you. But because a private citizen strapped a go-pro to his quad-copter you're going to scream "Done Spy!" I oppose government drone surveillance as much as the next freedom loving individual, but that guy had committed no crime.

perhaps we can say that the video wasn't really the 'whole situation'. . . the video only shown the part where the woman was attacking the guy.

>>24 It is possible, however irrelevant to the discussion of sexism in this case. It may change how we view the woman (eg, she may be more 'heroic' if he was harassing people with his drone), but it does not change how we perceive the officer.

It might change people's view on women, but only a fool would think like that. Not all people are the same in the first place. And generalizing people based on what the other one did is wrong.

>>26 Woman, not women. That was not a general statement, it was about the specific woman that attacked the operator. We may view her in a more positive light if the operator was flying his drone close to people to annoy them for fun.

lol, doesn't make any difference. anyways, i'm not on the woman side and also in the guy's side. we can also say that she simply just misunderstood what he was doing. I think the cops also checked the gallery of his drone's camera, to prove that he wasn't taking pictures for perverted purposes or anything that could make the woman really angry about. . .
